  1. Just shoot them down if they are military not commercial flights. Wait until there are drones or balloons over Alaska, then the missiles will fly.
  2. What happened to pharmaceutical costs falling by 1,400%?
  3. Not just Wikipedia. German court acquits COVID denier who compared Israel to Nazi Germany - Jewish Telegraphic Agency DW (Deutsche Welle) Bhakdi was a prominent critic of Germany’s COVID-19 restrictions, spreading false information about the virus and vaccines. He co-founded the group “Physicians and Scientists for Health, Freedom and Democracy”, which opposed lockdowns and vaccinations. DW reported that Bhakdi’s claims contributed to public mistrust and were part of a broader disinformation wave during the pandemic. The Times of Israel In 2021, Bhakdi made controversial remarks comparing Israel’s vaccination policies to Nazi Germany and said “the terrible thing about Jews is: they learn well.” He was charged with incitement to hatred in Germany but was acquitted in 2023. The court ruled his comments could be interpreted as criticism of Israeli policy rather than antisemitic hate speech. Jewish organizations strongly condemned the acquittal, citing the dangerous implications of normalizing such rhetoric. Full report from The Times of Israel [Germany cl...than Nazis]
  4. One thing FBI directors are famous for is creating large dossiers on people that may become helpful later and ensuring they have a copy in the home safe. Maybe he has the Epstein list?
  5. There is a rumor that he will introduce a new pledge for military readers. They will be ordered to kneel in a long line and Pete will walk along without his knickers on, allowing them to each kiss his pimply bottom and declare "Hail, Satan!"
  6. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Bhakdi became a prominent figure in the anti-lockdown and anti-vaccine movement. He made claims that the pandemic was exaggerated and that vaccines were dangerous, which were widely discredited by the scientific community. His publisher severed ties with him in 2021 after he made antisemitic remarks in a video. Wikipedia
  7. Boris Johnson was Prime Minister in 2021. The swine was a terrible example of American (by birth) manhood, having it off left right and center with various plump women. Why he allowed Samir into the country lord knows.
  8. Reform has 5 seats today. They need 326 for a majority of one. That would suggest the biggest surge in UK history. Pinch of salt taken.
  9. Admittedly, been here 36 years, read and speak Thai but still don't get Thai jokes and comedians (except for "Nose" Udom Taephanich). I have one Thai joke I use when presenting in Thai on stage, that She Who Must be Obeyed hates, "Excuse me in advance if my tones are a bit flat, but my wife comes from Suphanburi." ขออภัยล่วงหน้าหากน้ำเสียงของฉันเรียบไปหน่อย แต่ภรรยาฉันมาจากสุพรรณบุรี I don't find it funny in the least, but it seems to make Thai audiences giggle and laugh.
  10. A guy walks into a bakery, points at the glass cabinet and asks, "How much for a slice of Gattocks?" The baker says, "It's pronounced 'Gateaux' sir, and it is 300 Baht a slice." The man grimaces and says, "300 Baht??? Well, bolleaux to that." and walks out.
  11. Interesting. Sharks never stop moving. Is that a clue to long life?
  12. Correct. the Sandy Hook parents explained why they sued Alex Jones several years after the 2012 shooting: it was primarily to hold him accountable for a years-long campaign of falsehoods and harassment that caused them immense emotional distress and reputational harm.
  13. Imagine - a president who prefers to walk on the street, rubbing shoulders with the people, not one that holds everyone up for his cavalcade of armored cars.
  14. Quite right, there are different types of science. Best to look at the science published by the scientists who did the scientific research. Don't listen to scientists who are in a completely different field of science, like medical general practitioner (MD) commenting on the work of a scientist who is an expert in the field. 15. Yes, you're right about the time gap. Did a quick search and found that: On December 14, 2012, the day of the shooting, Alex Jones began suggesting on his show Infowars that the massacre was staged to push gun control legislation. Over the following years, he repeatedly claimed that the grieving parents were “crisis actors” and that the shooting was a hoax. The first defamation lawsuits were filed in April 2018 in Texas by parents of Sandy Hook victims. In May 2018, additional lawsuits were filed in Connecticut by 13 family members and an FBI agent. Jones made a partial apology during an interview with NBC’s Megyn Kelly, saying the situation was “complex” and that he had looked at “all the angles.” He did not fully retract his claims but attempted to soften his stance. September 2022: During his defamation trial in Connecticut, Jones stated: “I’ve already said I’m sorry hundreds of times. And I’m done saying I’m sorry.” This was widely interpreted as a dismissive and defiant stance, especially as it was said in front of grieving families. It appears that he got serious about the apology when he was losing millions of dollars. Eventually in 2023 he gave the excuse for his actions that he was "Playing devil's advocate."
  16. My guess is that the government cannot offer services for old people as not enough of a tax base (perhaps 10-20% of the country pays tax) and a lot of tax money goes into the pocket of government officers. Moving to a universal healthcare model is still debatable while the government is unable to raise taxes. The average American spends around $10,739 per year on healthcare. The average UK citizen spends about £2,989 (~$3,915) per year on healthcare, mainly through taxes. While I prefer the UK model, I understand that others might prefer to pay directly to the hospital when needed. As for old folks' homes for Thais... Average Monthly Costs in Thailand Type of Facility Monthly Cost (THB) Monthly Cost (USD approx.) In-home care 10,000–30,000 $270–$810 Assisted living 30,000–60,000 $810–$1,620 Nursing homes 10,000–100,000+ $270–$2,700+ Full-time nurse ~35,000 ~$945 Part-time nurse (8 hrs/day) ~12,500 ~$340 Part-time nurse (16 hrs/day) ~25,000 ~$675 These prices vary based on location (Bangkok and Chiang Mai tend to be more expensive), quality of facilities, and whether services like meals, medical care, and transportation are included. A lot more economic development is needed here.
  17. Isn't that the guy that said the dead kiddies at Sandy Creek were paid actors?
  18. I think Thailand has learned from the chaos of the start of the HIV virus. How many of you remember Chulalongkorn Hospital passing on HIV to blood donors as it used to share needles? They learned from that.
  19. Thais always make things more complicated to create ways of getting money under the table. For me, Grab works well, so why change it? There are many scammers in other businesses to look for.
  20. I have decided never to donate blood ever again. Too many questions. Whose blood is it? Where did you get it? Why is it in a bucket?
  21. Now I am confused. Who should I trust? Science ----or-------- Cults Science ----or------- Misinformation Science ----or------- YouTube Science ----or------- Facebook Science ----or------- Red Phoenix Science ----or------- Ignorance
  22. A couple of large fruit drink jug style cannisters filled with water. Arms outstretched and lift up and down until your arms ache.
  23. Nice to see a president with a sense of humour.
  24. JD Vance telling the EU to allow more freedom of speech. Yeah.
