    Probably not enough tax left over after the government's through with it anyway. I agree with @billd766 that if they can't provide transport in some areas, don't start asking for support from people who have no other means of getting to work.

    I have never really believed Buddhism is a religion, in that it doesn't have a god and there is no afterlife (rebirth isn't strictly speaking heaven or hell). People aspire to nothingness. It's more of a philosophy. Just my opinion.

    Looks like a very grand bell. I wonder how much it cost to make, and how much they paid for it.

    After reading that the universal (30 Baht) healthcare system is short of money, perhaps an investment there would prove better for poor people.

    Having driven across Europe and around Thailand, there is no true form of defensive driving here when there are loonies on the road. I prefer turning my head in addition to using wing mirrors as distance is easier to figure out and you can catch anything in a blind spot (usually). While my biking days are behind me, I turn my head while driving the car too.

    It is amazing that there is no upper limit on campaign spending. It's almost as if you can buy an election. 🤑

    Usually i like to go to a different province. Last weekend it was Ratchaburi. As a kid, I liked to watch hill climbs or trials, where a motorcyclist tries to scramble up steep inclines without putting a foot down. I have never seen it in Thailand. If anyone knows where to see it let me know.

    Why must people be segregated by race all the time? Indian French, African Germans, Latino Spaniards. We don't read about these. But Black Americans are constantly referred to.
