    If rental prices went up it is because Thai land owners put them up to gouge the Chinese. Chinese cannot legally own land here. Chinese have always been the kings of commerce here. They built the first paved road in Chinatown because Thais were interested in farming not shops. Jealousy of their business acumen led to a lot of racism. As we can now see.

    I read he was flying in from Singapore. Maybe I am wrong, but why is a developed state ignoring the fact Thaksin is a wanted criminal? Is it because everyone outside Thailand knows he was stitched up? Let's see what happens on arrival.

    Slightly off topic but worth passing on. One trick someone taught me many years ago if attacked in Thailand was don't bother shouting help. Shout "fire!" Thais react to the idea they might die and run out to see what's going on.

    Many ordinary, yet beautiful, girls are against marrying or dating fat, old western men and their parents will scold them if they are seen together. Sad but true.

    I would hesitate to put the (most certainly) leftist British Labour Party together with the more centrist U.S. Democratic party (in comparison). If AI is left leaning at all it is probably because human development has taken the liberal route over a long time. Female emancipation, end of slavery, social welfare programs are no longer considered leftist but rather the norm. Some may not see it that way though.

    With so many made unemployed due to the pandemic I haven't seen a move into mass production and high end technology. 3/10.

    I read that the courts wanted to make public the results of the watch investigation. That would keep the army guy out.

    Another warm hearted story on ASEAN Now. Keep it up and we will all learn that not all Thai people are bad.

    TBH you can import anything but if people don't buy it then you won't make money. If Chinese products are selling this is just competition. Thailand just hasn't focused on manufacturing, so this is coming back to bite them as China is oriented forward making lots of cheap products

    I guess all places that can't make revenue from anything except tourism must feel some regret when their land prices go up.

    Really, when people arrive at the legal age to drink, they don't look at the newspaper or Facebook to decide on the beer they want.

    Questions will be asked about where he got the money. I suspect he has more. And why would she ask for 800,000 in order just to get home? They may have a relationship. This is a mystery worthy of Sherlock Holmes. The Monk and the Old Friend.

    I don't see any words on the can saying it is beer. However I would have thought the MP would be able to show his pride in a local product.

    Superstition means low education and low critical thinking. Thai Governments encourage it. Keeps the masses quiet.

    Chocolate Ville is photogenic and near Bangkok (look on google maps). Also, maybe spend a night at Mustang Blu, near Hualamphong Station. Also very photogenic.

    I think the taxman sees anything called "beer" as taxable, alcohol or not.

    It would appear that the people who really need the money will still receive it. Not sure what the threshold for an income would be or how insufficient income is calculated, but anyone with a job may not be desperate for the money..

    As a previous attempt in 2011 by Yingluck Shinawatra to include her brother in an amnesty ended in tears, I am not sure whether they seriously believe people will welcome moves to bring him back now.

    So who will be the republican nominee if Trump goes to prison? Surely it can't be DeSantis by default?

    Whatever you pay her she will go to visit her "brother" now and then until you find out he isn't.
