  1. Amazing how the RTP gets such detailed confessions without leaving bruises. He seems calm.
  2. The oldest profession meets the newest technology. A match made in Heaven.
  3. It isn't the visa or lack thereof that causes criminal activity. Even those currently arriving visa free find ways to work illegally, like those who teach English without work permits.
  4. By all means let tourists enter visa free but take photos and fingerprints on entry so bad guys can get picked up right away (do link up criminal databases first!). Do away with double pricing. Cinema tickets are equal priced for Thais and foreigners. So should national parks be.
  5. The US has had several really bad presidents so this is not a modern phenomena. In 1948 Warren G. Harding, Ulysses S. Grant, Franklin Pierce, James Buchanan and Zachary Taylor were named the five worst presidents in American history. In a 1982 poll, the list was the same, save for Andrew Johnson taking Taylor's spot in the bottom five. Perhaps Trump will sink to the bottom 5, but a single term isn't like a two term President's chance to muck up the economy. George W. Bush and Richard Nixon were among the bottom 10 in 2014, but climbed out from the dregs of American leadership in 2019. Perhaps it is the ability to compare in hindsight that gives us a balanced opinion.
  6. Be careful that you haven't been earning money without a work permit.
  7. While not convinced a mass debate will solve anything, however recently read that there are now some crimes that the British police will not investigate. A slippery slope to Thai levels.
  8. Used to go to Singapore regularly on business. The number of people who told me Thailand is ting tong. Wish I could defend the country but I cannot.
  9. Somewhere, Mandy Rice-Davies is listening to Acer dating this is s good idea and thinking, "Well he would, wouldn't he."
  10. Why shouldn't they borrow more on the assumption the government will bail them out?
  11. Protectionism will work for a while then others will add more barriers.
  12. Never read of an airplane crash caused by heavy passengers.
  13. I have noticed a tendency for politicians to forget the proliferation of cameras these days. They swear they didn't do it then a video appears showing they did it. Perhaps lying is so natural they think they can get away with it. Sad.
  14. There are people who don't understand ethics and morals. The good guys are not supposed to do the same as the bad guys.
  15. How does placing a bullet on a stretcher change anything? Please explain in 50 words or less.
  16. I read earlier today that Latin American countries, especially Chile, demand the US release information regarding its illegal interference in local coups and support for despots. With no one else to fault, the country has become a pariah in third world countries. Though I doubt China will attack the US mainland, there might be a lot of strain over the next few years and the US cannot think China will be a pushover.
  17. The Catholic Church is besieged by stories of what their own priests have done. Time to tax them, sue them and push them out of business.
  18. Love him or hate him, I would prefer that Trump is found guilty of insurrection or aiding an insurrection before they throw the 14th amendment at him. Are they even able to use the 14th if he hasn't been found guilty yet?
  19. Blood sausage (cooked) is a common food in the UK, but, while in Laos, I was offered Larb Leuat (blood larb) and couldn't force myself to even taste it. In Bang Ban District of Ayutthaya Province eating raw pork leads (or used to lead) to blindness.
  20. I thought joining the Mile High Club comes with a badge?
