I live in Buriram and last time I renewed my PP (2017), I used an agent. Around 11K baht (Cost of "Jumbo" UK PP included in that). IMHO, much better/cheaper than 2 x trips to BKK with she-who-must-be-obeyed, plus overnight stay, food, drink etc. Well worth it.

I've just watched season 12 of Vera. It's a crime drama set in Northumberland and North Tyneside. The central character is Detective Chief Inspector Vera Stanhope, who is obsessive about her work and driven by her own demons. Very good IMHO and well worth a look. I got it from TGx. Today I received my first life certificate form, dated January 8th. As others have already stated, the completed form has to be received by the pensions service within 16 weeks from Jan 8th.

When I got married, my wife changed her last name to mine. I've never had a 60 day extension but I've done a 1 year extension based on marriage three times and have never been asked for a change-of-name certificate.

The 500 baht per day is for overstay, not for doing a 90 day report late.

Fair enough

Not my application this time, which was due on 9 Feb which I submitted on 26 Jan. No notice given as to why it failed. I had no choice but to go in person on 10 Feb. I was told that there was a computer breakdown. Believe it if you want. As for the computer breakdown, I would hazard a guess that statement was just a face saving excuse. I should have been more specific and qualified my statement by adding "from some people". I also know a couple of people who have submitted reports which have either been rejected or simply ignored, forcing them to make a personal visit to the IO.

Thanks @Will27. I enjoyed watching all the seasons of Underbelly. I like Tim Roth and also Matt Nable (He played DS Gary Jubelin in 8 episodes of Underbelly). I'll definitely have a look at this.

So far, I've had 100% (5 out of 5) of my 90 day reports approved by Buriram IO, when using the "new" online 90 day reporting website which was implemented in December 2021. Prior to that, I have had all my 90 day reports since the system was first implemented in April 2015, (that I have been able to submit) successfully approved using the "old" website. The times when I could not submit a report were when: 1) The immigration extranet was not available (For various reasons) 2) I got a new passport Once I left Thailand and entered using my new passport, I was good to go again. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.
