Last time I drove from Bkk to Udon Thani I drove through a village/small town (after Lopburi if memory serves me correct) and saw a lot of stone mortars, statues etc. Does anyone know the location so I can put it into google maps and stop to buy a stone pestle and mortar? Also any price guide for medium if possible.
This is not the somtam making pestle type.
Thank you.

Also TOPS produce their own hotdog rolls and burger buns. That is in their larger supermarkets, never seen them in the mini branches.

Travelling around this wonderful country, love fine dining, let us all know your favourite places to dine.
As it is "fine dining" you're looking for, the Thailand Michelin awards were presented yesterday I believe, also the Bib Gourmand.
Living in the outskirts of BKK, we have a couple of local restaurants we tend to eat very often. Not fine dining by any stretch of the imagination, but just great, fresh tasting food IMHO in a setting we like.

Many of the free vpn's are not working any more, though I don't say there are none left that still work.
There are paid vpn's that have dedicated BBC Iplayer, Netflix and Hulu servers
Thank you for that info. Could you please recommend one for BBC iplayer or UK tv in general?

You don't need an Android box,you can do everything on a Windows PC,
I have an Aroid box but just use it for watching channels on Mobdro,
most of streaming is done on Win 10 PC,as i find it easier to use,all
sites i watch from work, on android ,KODI many don't.
When streaming via HDMI cable to tv, find it best to use RJ45 cable
from router to PC,WiFi is not good enough in my opinion.
just Google streaming tv, have an add blocker enabled, don't use any
sites where you have to register.

Hello Worgeordie,
I recall you posted that you are using Browsec and can try for free. (sorry I cannot find that post again) I tried the free trial and top right corner of my laptop screen is showing icon Browsec UK but when I try BBC iplayer it says i need to be in the UK.
The laptop is pretty old like me, so do you know what could be going wrong?
Thank you.

Hia Kiang has been in business for thirty years and is now offering his vehicles for sale at 250,000 baht each as there is no profit in his business anymore.
And how much if a farang asked to buy one?

Sorry as off this topic thread, FWIW I liberally sprayed the cheap vinegar morning and night for about a week and that stopped a dog crapping outside my gate.

Deputy provincial chief Pol Colonel Khiri Kiatisarn visited Thanisorn's house said the hirer would be called in for questioning.

Urged people to buy old pre-made meals?.. to help the victim.

Hello,
My UK bank is requesting that both my wife's and I complete a "confirmation of identity" as I am updating my records,
I have a list of who can do this but it seems to be UK/EU specific.
Has anyone done this recently from Thailand?, does it mean a trip to the British Embassy for both my wife and I? (Will the British Embassy confirm for my Thai wife)
Thanks and Regards.

Villa 33/1 IMHO. Close to BTS and a good selection of goodies. I know they had Christmas mince pies last year so will probably have apple pies too.
There is a Villa much closer to where I live, but they do not have a full selection like 33/1 for both sweet and savory.
Apple pies in the below link.

its full of brass plaques stating the significance of the gate and it’s historic origin........the lawyers can argue all they like.
to suggest anyone can deface it and get off with a boot up the arse
as it’s been reconstructed is a nonsense....
IMHO I doubt a Thai lawyer would wish to stand up and use the excuse of the Gate being reconstructed. Unless he is not looking for future cases to represent.

For what is it worth and please do not shoot me down for not being a seasoned skillet,
I got a good quality oven-proof frying pan / skillet from IKEA: https://www.ikea.com/th/en/search/?query=Frying+pans+&+woks
Also a dutch oven if anyone is interested: https://www.ikea.com/th/en/catalog/products/30232843/
Again, just suggestions.
