Foodland Ramintra has fresh thyme and lemon thyme today among others. Did not see basil, but its not a large foodland branch like Lad Phrao.
-
My local Foodland (Ramintra) has them on occasion. Rather small packs and quite expensive but fresh type not the dried type.
If I am there today, I will look again.

Why not just scrap every single law here already passed and any that may be in the pipeline.. would win plenty of votes.

gotta find a way to preserve the wonderful pork fat and dijon mixture that comes outta the oven, ye put it into the fridge and then it congeals and is lost forever...
When it congeals, is it not spreadable onto a slice of bread and toasted in the style of "dripping on toast".. or possibly used when roasting potatoes.

Just a follow up as I started this thread, tablet device was received from Gearbest and did not pay any VAT. Gearbest had put value of 20$ and gift on the customs declaration. I did not request these instructions when placing the order.
Thank you for the input i received.

I am sure the motorcycle taxis have to pay money to some local influential people so that they are able to work where they work.
If I remember correctly, Silom / Sathon moto taxis were paying THB 200K for a moto-taxi jacket according to the BP. This was years ago.

Even he apologised and will pay compensation I wouldn't want to be close to that subject or talk to him.
What if he turned up at the cop-shop with a basket of Brands bird's nest beverage though..

I have just read this thread and am interested in British Expat TV, on their site it seems their are no prices/terms so I tried to contact them using the "contact" page. I filled in my details and when I send i get "Error 404 resource not found"
Any other way to contact them as I do not have facebook.
Many Thanks.

What type of oven from home pro would you recommend to make a homemade pizza?
You could also check the ovens in https://www.verasu.com/ if you are planning to make a purchase as they quite often have good sale offerings.

Shipping took about 8 days.
You do get a tracking number but that only really tells you when it get's to Thailand and
the local post office.
It's delivered by your postie, not a courier.
Thank you.

I purchased a tablet from them a few weeks ago.
Yes it's free shipping.
Taxes in Thailand are nothing to do with them.
For what it's worth, I used their standard shipping and
did not get hit with any taxes at the Thailand PO.
IMO, once you start using priority services that involve
couriers, the greater the risk of getting taxed
Thank you, may I ask out of curiosity the delivery time if you remember and did you get a tracking number for delivery to your door?

Just been enjoying the Golf channel via firstonetv and certainly watchable. A slight lag on occasion for a few seconds only at times.
Thank you to the TV member who posted that.
The stands and player walk-out layout for the first tee looks phenomenal with 7,000 seats.
BTW - Just was watching an interview, and didn't at first recognize Justin Rose without a cap.

Hello All,
I will be using GearBest to purchase a tablet device as a gift for someone.
The website states "free shipping to Thailand" but I am trying to find out if this really is free from Thai-Post insurance or taxes?
It is a gift and I will not be home to receive it then forward it.
The total price is 9402 THB for 3 items. It will be shipped from their China warehouse and they offer the choice of registered air-mail or priority line if that makes any difference.
Thank you for any feedback from personal experience with Gearbest.

Prefer the version prior to this one. Lacking in contrast on the text and on the pages overall.

https://www.firstonetv.net needs flash player activated and, with the latest version of Chrome, flash needs to be turned on everytime you want to use it with a different website. And, with some channels on this website, they appear to request two stages of activation to become enabled. Unfortunately, flash player gets turned off after the first stage so it becomes impossible to watch. I was trying to watch the MUTV channel.
I also tried using EDGE to watch it but https://www.firstonetv.net appears to recognize the browser and puts up a message saying they won't allow that browser to be used.
I've never needed a VPN to watch firstone in the past but did try it with a VPN. made no difference.
Thank you, I will try it again.

Hello All,
I have a new visa debit card from the UK, do all banks here in Thailand still charge the 200 THB withdrawal fee?
Thank you.

I am in Sai Mai with AIS and no VPN.

There are literally hundreds of "mercs" for hire, willing to take just about any job offered if the money is right.
That remind's me, I need to book a taxi later.

Bring in dog licenses.
And hefty fines.
I totally agree, however this would mean responsibility.. sadly this will never happen even if the licenses were free of charge. There would be uproar on social media..

Many talented Thai lady golfers on the tour now! The Jutanugarn sisters leading the way.
Yes, I think at least 5 or 6 play and challenge on the LPGA main tour, a big increase in a couple of years.
I went to this tournament last year and it was well run.
Will go again this year so hopefully the rain keeps off.
