  1. On the bright side, some news outlets were actually speculating (e.g. on YouTube), whether Trump would return Alaska to Russia... 😆 - Guess, this didn't happen.
  2. Yes, what's next; advising the restaurants to double prices for 'higher income'? 😆
  3. Isn't the entrance of the temple on Thailand-claimed territory?
  4. Haha... There must be many vacant shop properties now in some Bangkok neighbourhoods, and every other shop closed on Soi Buakhao in Pattaya... 😆
  5. How did Cambodians lay landmines on Thai territory? (Unless, of course, it is territory claimed by Thailand...)
  6. Anyone else getting dizzy from news items, sometimes twice a day, with conflicting spins about booming and/or faltering tourism in Thailand? 😵
  7. That's fine, as for one of my bank account balances I already get 0%... What are they going to do; charge me negative interest? 😆
  8. That's fine. They're always welcome in Thailand... 😆
  9. Doesn't add up at all, unless the annual target was extremely optimistic... 🤔
  10. "Phuket Calls for Urgent Infrastructure Overhaul" Better late than never...
  11. Wait! You're saying I have to pay her, and not the other way round? 😊
  12. Wow, when did this happen? No more need to do this online? (And why is it "easing entry for visitors"?)
  13. Yesterday: "Tourist Arrivals in Thailand Drop by 5%". Today: "Thailand's Tourism Soars with 20 Million Visitors in 2025"... Nuff said!
  14. Most footpaths in Bangkok (and Thailand) are designed to be used by motorbikes. Cops use them, as do delivery drivers, moto taxis, and everyone else. And that crossing a road, using zebra crossings, can likely be dangerous is a national shame! (Particularly as other countries in SE Asia don't have such problems.)
  15. I think, because they care a rat's a** about all the expats who choose to live, spend money, and invest here...
  16. Not to mention reasonably priced tourist attractions... I would like to travel more often to Vietnam, but worry that, upon returning to Bangkok, I am pushing my luck to visit Thailand once more. Oh well, perhaps I will stay there longer instead in the future... 😁
  17. Same here. Everytime I take a girl to the movies they want to see a Hollywood flick. The only exception was way back in 2000, when a girl wanted me to see "Bang Rajan" with her.
  18. I'm not a fan, but still prefer it over any Thai beer.
  19. Same in most of SE Asia. Plus the beer in some (e.g. Laos, Philippines, Myanmar) is way better!
  20. Small Singha 220 baht. 250 baht, small Heineken Who in their right mind would pay 160 baht for Chang? 🤮 I'd rather pay the 90 baht more for a Heineken.
  21. Brits stealing from Africans (in Asia)... 😆
  22. If they pay 'over 16,000 baht' for this they must be loaded... 😆
  23. No Nigerian diplomatic mission in Cambodia? And why entering illegally?
