  1. Why don't they look for a better-paid job? With the unemployment rate, reportedly, below 1% (!), there should be plenty of vacancies...
  2. Seems, the aim, if it was one, to replace abuse of those drugs with the use of cannabis backfired, as it, possibly, only made them cheaper...
  3. By Thai standards, those people, as well as the ones 'watching things in the city', (Thai) beggars, etc., are not unemployed... Wow, 'less than 1% unemployment', what a happy country it must be!
  4. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but most nationalities can only get 2 visa-free entries overland per year, so for '6 or 7' you'd have to do 4 or 5 entries by air. What do you mean, by the way, with "visa run in Myanmar"? If you're after a Thai tourist visa, you can only get it in Yangon. As long as the border is open, no problem to do the border hop to Myanmar as such.
  5. How do you get to this form after signing in? I tried to go directly to the link, but am redirected to the login screen. Then after logging in, there are only 2 buttons: "New TM47 report" and "Check status". The screen where I should fill in my info is not there, even if I key in the actual link into the browser.
  6. Registered and signed in. Site gives information about the report, then asks for today's date, name (not clear, full name, or not?), and phone number. - Am I missing something; how about the passport number and copies?? At the time I have to do the report (can only do 15 days ahead, right), I'll be in a remote part of Korat province.
  7. Questions to 90-day report (TM47): 1. Tried the website, but cannot (error message: 'Insufficient data'). How come? 2. What do visa agencies usually charge for such reports, and do they need my actual passport to do them? 3. How does report by 'registered mail' work; I mean how to do it? 4. If, for whatever reason, I didn't do the report, what penalty charge would be the fine after one year; 2,000 baht, or 4x 2,000 baht?
  8. Even the Hong Kong Chinese hate the tourists from the mainland because of their rudeness, arrogance, spitting, etc. And on the mainland they are self-aware how badly they behave abroad. Not that they cared...
  9. True, and I doubt that the other two ways suggested (online, counters) are much better solutions.
  10. That's fine, as the Chinese seem to prefer food and snack shopping at Big C...
  11. Absolutely pointless drivel, as the article doesn't name any numbers for this 'improvement'.
  12. I'm not making this up. Restaurant near Soi Buakaow, 'Omelet 120 baht'! Also along Second Road, dishes you could get pre-Covid for less than 100 baht, now 200, 300 baht, or more... Okay, I wouldn't mind if the omelette was made from 10 eggs, but I very much doubt it...
  13. Good number of restaurants, either specialising in, or offering European food on the side, gone for good. (New Indian restaurants, on the other hand, left, right, and centre...) Also, eating out is no fun anymore if one has to pay 120 or 150 baht for a simple omelette.
  14. Hell of a police investigator, falling for the old 'click the Line app link to pay your outstanding bills'... ????
  15. I read recently (in the online edition of a newspaper, named after Thailand's capital) that the fee will definitely be introduced in September, possibly using both, online collection, and airport counters. Expect crashing websites and long queues at fee-collection counters... Happy Thailand travel!
  16. Also, how are they staying 'long time'? Are they all signing up for the Elite Card?
  17. I know of a Thai girl, who was caught offering certain services at night, and who after had to stay an extended time (weeks) with a cop to "pay off" a fine. Perhaps this overstayer will get such a chance too... ????
  18. And the victim claimed to have had sex with the ladyboy...
  19. Myanmar, not cheap (as for hotels), but also closeby, and certainly an adventure...
  20. Maybe they want to encourage more lending and household debt...
  21. Anyone (not) buying this, too?
  22. My money is on insiders being involved, too.
  23. Yes, doesn’t really make sense. So, she either must have been a passenger, or working at the airport.
