Again, a display of tremendous courage, which is the hallmark of most Thai men. They are willing to commit the act, whether it be stealing one billion baht from the water resources management project, or running over, and killing a policeman while speeding at 200KM. per hour on the streets of Bangkok, but when it comes time to face the piper, all courage is lost, and they start wimpering, and behaving like 12 year old girls. So typical. I have seen this for years. Where is the big man now? Who expected this trial to happen? Imaging a Thai person in a position of authority or wealth being held responsible for their actions, even if it is a so called act of terrorism, or shooting someone (and killing them) in a restaurant, with a machine gun, that was next to your table? How is Thai society ever going to evolve, if the Thai people cannot understand the most basic concepts of being responsible for your actions, and the tremendous degradation to society, when nobody accepts this responsibility? Where does that leave us, when it comes to the future? Especially with the latest generation of Thai men being brought with far less in the way of principles, and morals than earlier generations. The legal and judicial systems here seem to be completely broken. I am a bit afraid of the direction this country may be going in. Am I the only one?
I totally agree, I've noticed this for years

this will only change when MP's and other government officials are not above the law. Amazing to me that all this corruption,
stealing from the people, and terrorist acts such as threatening to burn Bangkok cannot be dealt with because the people that committed
and are committed these crimes are above the law and immune. How "<deleted>" ridiculous!

it's not that the government was not democratically elected, it's that is just so dam_n corrupt.
All they are doing is filling their pockets with the Thai people's money, reshuffling the cabinets so everybody
gets a piece of the pie, and bringing TS back and having all those charges dropped as if nothing has happened is a priority.
Taksin is the one that paid for the last catastrophe, now they want to bring him back.
who knows what damage he's going to cause next.

perhaps if drugging people wasnt portrayed as normal behavior on Thai soapies it wouldnt be so prevalent
absolutely, that was my first thought.

i suspect OD's from heroin are going to be more and more common. In the 60's, the heroin in the US was a mild 3-6%, today it's closer to 60% and showing up in elementary schools. It's really gaining momentum. I personally suspect, with the US now with airport access for "weather studies" the heroin that is protected by the US troops in Afghanistan is going to come here as well. No better way to take over a country than to infect it with an addiction. just sayin'

Language is a powerful thing. As long as the media refers to other schools as "rival" schools, there is going to be rival issues. If the media says it, it must be "true".
As long as the Internet is something to "play", that's all it's going to be used for, games.
Developed countries come from developed minds, for example take the US constitution. Those framers of the constitution were very developed people.
Sadly, a developing country in today's vernacular has all to do with money, and nothing could be more ridiculous.
A country can only stay in it's state of being developed and to continue developing if it's creating more developed minds.
Take the USA again for example, when was the last time is consciously considered creating developed minds?
Rather is has taken the path of dumbed down, uneducated, medicated, fluoridated, TV stupor induced, sedated zombie-esque monetary slaves; thus the fall of the empire. just sayin'

crimes with or without guns, drug use, teenage pregnancy, alcoholism are all trademarks of a society that flaunts inequality.
The fact that crimes with guns is up, look at the amount of drugs in news these days, is all part of the "normal" process of
class separation where the rich get richer and the poor begin to realize they have no where to go.
Unfortunately I don't see any sign from anyone in the government that sees this needs to change for the good
of Thailand. There is no future for Thailand because "tomorrow" never comes here. There is absolutely no concept
of consequence to these people. Very sad indeed.

maybe if the police did their job and ticketed people for double parking when they want to stop and buy noodles or something it would stop. It seems that a lot of traffic is caused by inconsiderate people creating bottlenecks because it's convenient for them. Parking is an issue, if there's no places to park, the problem just can't be resolved.

The US covers the entire earth with their surveillance, nothing takes off or lands without them being aware of it. It's all about irritating China and setting themselves up for war with a strategically placed military base. How convenient that the US wants Thailand to join in promoting world peace and then all all the sudden Thailand has the perfect weather for study. I wonder how much the US paid and how much someone accepted to sell out the country. Thailand doesn't need war, this smells like a rat and I don't like it.

I'm sorry, I'm finding it very difficult to find this article for real. These aging sexpats need medical and mental assistance? The governor or Bangkok is going to find a new place for these "refugees" to drink? Did someone forget the SATIRE logo? This is ludicrous!

So all the certifications and the labellings are false if not unreliable! So i thought i had been eating organic veggies but they could be pesticide-laden stuff!! I already cut down on meat, fish, shrimps, seafood here as they are all sprayed with chemicals for preserving corpses! Gosh amazing thailand!
any advice on cleaning the veggie from pesticde will be appreciated.
soaking your veggies in a baking soda solution removes about 95% of the pesticides. I have friends here that work at a testing company, they test for this stuff, and they soak their lab equipment in a baking soda solution to prevent false readings. I buy more baking soda than anything else at the store because everything I eat doesn't come with a label other than produce from the royal projects.

Thai courts - "Hub of Suspended jail terms" for the Hi-So's and powerful.
What it really suspends is belief.
it suspends any hope for any real justice.

I just scrolled up to see if there was a red SATIRE at the top of the page. I think the US is still looking for an airport they can use to bomb more countries.

Even the Libyan president says the attacks are not related to the YouTube video. No theory regarding conspiracy here

I guess my video posted from the Canadian News Network was deemed a conspiracy theory, it's been removed.

I've done the research for you. There is no US embassy in Benghazi.

if this guy is an example of Thai competence; I don't lie, have never lied, and don't want to lie, but sometimes we have to lie and I'm not good with words. holy crap! We have to redefine losing face.

Why doesn't the headline say Norwegian owned company, why does it say "farang"? Farang means Caucasian, totally a racist article.
Farang owned DTAC operator fined Bt10mn for service failure
Caucasian owned DTAC operator fined.........

I had never seen a system where students clearly fail at their studies but get passed on to the next grade so as not to embarrass the parents until coming to Thailand. This will never happen, especially in the schools where parents pay tea monies to buy their kids a pseudo education.
-
you get fined 2000 baht for a cigarette butt if you're a foreigner, but 1000 baht for this kind of obscene behavior if you're Thai? The face is long gone, nothing to lose here.

Westerner Murdered On Phuket In Execution Style
in Thailand News
Posted
a blow to the head and multiple stab wounds, bound and stuffed in plastic is "execution style"?
I wonder if he was tied afterwards for the convenience of transporting.
for some reason I thought "execution style" was a shot to the back of the head in a true cowardly fashion.
