Resident can be as furious as they want. Tea money didn't get paid, so the illegally modified hotel was ordered torn down. The hotel owner probably ran away to avoid having to pay to have the entire building razed and removed, at enormous cost. Now it will just sit like this. Take a picture next year and let's see how it looks.

What a government this is what you vote for. I would rather vote for the bar girl

Hah... what about those massive unsecured boats being wheeled around on trailers with under inflated different sized tires. The boat ramps in jomtein are a war zone of carbon spewing tractors driven by wild men dragging these monsters through and among the tourists..... twice a day during peak time. I'm waiting for a tire to blow and tip one of these.... hopefully with noone beneath it.

    City Hall should be removed

  3. It's very simple.

The government has not a clue what's going on. All these bananas care about is payments.

    Reforms

1 : RTP audit all heads ( no committee cabinets or any other money spending decoys required )

2 : City Hall bosses forget reform.there all employed based on family connection and deserve to thrown. Not escored straight down the stairs.

3 : Employ real people from developed education backgrounds. Who have experienced western operations

    4 : Get a real PM

I would have thought that the US would have had a meat inspection requirement which would be light years ahead of whatever thailand has (especially so for pork!)... but that's not really the issue here.

as with all products, Thai people can choose to support Thai farmers.... or not, and in this issue, I think there is some exploitation of the uneducated by local interested parties

Of course same as Australia..Thailand is non existing

Thai Pig Farmers Complain Trump Is Porking Them

    By Teeranai Charuvastra, Staff Reporter

'I don't want Mr. Trump's pork, I am afraid to die,' reads a banner held by Trump-masked representatives of the Northeastern Swine Breeders Association on Friday at Impact Muang Thong Thani.

BANGKOK — On one banner, American president Donald Trump was depicted as a sharp-fanged pig. On another, he was being burnt at the stake.

Such banners framed a Bangkok stage upon which speaker after speaker denounced the 71-year-old leader as a stone-hearted and greedy businessman out to destroy Thai people’s livelihoods.

Want to bet? Actually what it confirms is USA's belief in people get the govt they deserve

USA is rightfully hands off by giving the Thai citizens the freedom of choice by NOT intervening at all.

If tomorrow the Thai people decided they wanted the Junta out & marched on the capital the US & other westerns countries would be watching.

If the Junta overstepped the tolerance mistaken for "non-interventionist policy"  by firing on or hurting the Thai citizenry then the Junta would see what Colonel Gaddafi saw when a no fly zone was opened over Libya ( Not that I agreed with that move)

Do not mistake disdain for tolerance/ non-interventionist foreign policy. There is nothing many countries would like more than to rescue the Thai citizenry but, The Thai's themselves must take the first steps towards  their own independence

This US meeting was nothing more than to tell the Thailand rep what is coming

Fair trade which is out of balance to the tune of 18 billion per year now.

Level it or else lose trade options.

Probably the best post I have read..Apart from my own of course.

Yes they have the Thai people bluffed but soon if there not very careful.  Will see themselves ousted

President Trump called him Prime Minister Prayuth and Mrs. Prayuth :cheesy: Couldn't even (rightly) be bothered with their surnames. Then Prayuth sits there clearly not understanding a word but tries to fake it with timed nods.

EDIT to add: I see now there is a translator behind Trump's right shoulder so Prayuth could understand - he just looks dumb. :whistling:

    His very poorly educated

He should be on statutory rape charges. Running away from the wedding he might - but he will hard job running away in those cold shower blocks in a Thai prison.

The age of consent in Thailand is 18 regardless of gender or sexual orientation, as specified by article 317,318 and 319 of the Thai Criminal Code. The current legislation applies to all regardless of gender or sexual orientation.

A high-profile example of this application of the law was a statutory rape charge filed against the lead singer of the Thai band Big Ass for allegedly having had sex with a (then) 16-year-old girl. The charge was filed by the girl after the singer refused to take responsibility for her baby. The singer has since been cleared of being the baby's father due to the results of a paternity test and he received 2 years suspended sentence.[84][85]

He will be getting ass pumped in the BKK HILTON by a ladyboy

No! No government/country/tax payer should haul idiots back to their home countries.  Period!

You paid for your flight here, you boozed and banged all your money away, you had a good time now rot in the gutter where you have landed. Sounds harsh, I know, but why should any adult expect others to bail him/her out?

Yes only a smarty like you would come out with this remark. Thai Ness is rich you
