  1. Thinking most folk would have very clear memory of the events. Agree, weird statement from OP..
  2. Multiple entry Non O (one yr visa) are no longer available. Would be helpful if OP indicated when current permission of stay expires.
  3. Good suggestion. Not clear of OP ongoing plan or if he is 50+ however would 100% need a Non O to open a Thai bank account without agent.
  4. Off topic posts regarding legality or otherwise of agents removed along with reply. Off topic
  5. Excellent post. I haven't read/seen a negative report regarding those fortunate to have obtained a LTR. Wish I had one.
  6. Numerous threads on this topic. AseanNow has a marriage/divorce forum. Personally I would be using plan outlined by Tod Daniels above. Exit Thailand without reentry permit. Kills off current permission of stay and enter visa exempt. Then proceed with divorce. After divorce consider next visa options. Some folk would view this not best option. You can actually change bases of extension to based on retirement if over 50 yr. Here is one example of thread uncontested divorce. https://aseannow.com/topic/1248592-thai-law-for-divorce-between-a-farang-man-and-thai-woman/ While not common... if on good terms with wife.. You could wait till next extension and change to "based on retirement" The wife would need to attend. You would require 800k in bank for 2 months prior to application for extension. After obtaining the extension proceed with divorce. Subsequent divirce has zip to do with conditions of extension. The plus is no new Non O and no exit Thailand (albeit briefly)
  7. That narrows the options re agents a lot. Suggest you contact agent such as Thai Visa Centre and discuss options. They are located in Bangkok. You can use Line etc
  8. OP, where would you be located in Thailand? Yes agents can arrange opening bank account + Non O (from visa exempt entry + 12 month extension. Agent depends on where you live. Your overstay details are vague. Doubt that will be a concern. Here is friendly Thai visa for safe entry services. Standard fee is approx 4500baht. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61552069237778
  9. Just bumping your thread. I know zero re obtaining Non B eVisa. Seems obvious that the future employer would be required. Would have thought your future employer would have assisted with this. Someone will post first hand experience. Not sure but think @BrandonJT has posted advice re this
  10. Indeed that was (previously) a common option. PE rep would greet you airside and arrange Visa into pp.
  11. You are wrong and not helpful. The issue would seem to be with immigration. In any event while OP has been blindsided and put into horrible situation he can obtain permission of stay options in Thailand. Unfortunately will require exit and reentry. Wrong place Wrong time springs to mind.
  12. That's typical inaccurate thermology "Thai citizens should generally apply for a Visitor visa (subclass 600) Tourist stream." So thank you for useless advice. I have done several for my Thai partner for visa to Oz. Once you have first one..(think it was single entry 60 days) Subsequent ones very simple and multiple. Indeed can be done without agent. Why don't you post first hand experience as a help to OP.
  13. Your scheme is nothing new Also been foolishly suggested as means around income method. Funds in/out. In any event your plan is off topic. Do what suits yourself.
  14. The June 2020 change effectively meant a new TM30 was required only for change of ongoing address. Not required for travel outside of province or travel abroad. Still few immigration offices ignored that. In recent times some genius decided to try and sync online reporting to TM30. Hence need "report in person" after travel abroad. Just another Thai train wreck.
  15. I think zero about taxation as for the vast majority on folk on annual extensions it will change nothing. Just one person's opinion. There are zillion threads on AseanNow regarding taxation and people can address concerns in those threads.
  16. When you apply for Non O e-Visa the approval email lists details of the visa. It will have an valid from date to "enter by " date. This gives you a window to enter Thailand. Generally 90 days. When you enter Thailand between these dates you will be stamped in for 90 days. In the first month you will need to obtain Thai Bank account. With the Non O and lease and perhaps a COR (if required by Bank) No need to transfer smaller amounts. Personally I use WISE. The limit using WISE to Kasikorn is 2mil baht. Why on earth would it need to be next day. As explained above.... You will be stamped in for 90 days provided you enter prior to the "enter by " (Validity of the eVisa)
  17. Makes sense. Since the accommodation may be temporary ...(3 months) think you can broaden your location area. As long as you're on a BTS or MRT line you can get to just about anywhere.
  18. When was this. I don't think Siam Legal assist with opening bank accounts any more. They did years back however stopped. If the OP has a Non O and a lease he should be fine. Some banks may want a COR from immigration. Recent report of guy opening account with Kasikorn with lease + Non O + TDL
  19. You would be entering Thailand on a Non O. Couple of points. Don't see the need to obtain a lease prior to entry. Nor see the need for "immigration attorney" There are many options for lease accommodation in the area you listed. Once settled in temporary accommodation you can find a condo. Indeed a lease would be helpful for opening a bank account. Currently I would avoid BBL. As for location some locations such as Asoke (and others) have a BTS + MRT junction. They are excellent options as have instant access to both transport lines. For your first week you have many options one example Trendy building. Plenty of threads such as this one with general advice. https://aseannow.com/topic/1359826-what-are-people-paying-for-rent-in-bangkok/
  20. Thread closed at OP request.
  21. I'm biased but flight for throw away or actual use would be to Saigon. Esp if you are visa exempt for Vietnam. Approx 1800b (each way). Many airlines have refund option with a fee added to cost of ticket. You could use "rent a ticket" and this company works well. Approx $16usd Onward Ticket - Quick, Valid & Affordable | Get in 2 Min https://share.google/x1RUam65IieqUMZpP
  22. Horrible situation for yourself and initially I wondered if your thread was some sort of hoax. Clearly that is not the case and leaves you in a mess. So what is the plan? Is it simply to bounce for a 60 day visa exempt + extension if necessary to buy time. Keep chin up, you did everything by the book and now this huge curve ball.
  23. Please do. I think the post you were looking for was from @Liquorice who was pointing out that 90 reporting was not linked to departure/arrival data. In any event you can give it a try. You could consider report 75 days after return using mail option.
  24. You have a print out so should be fine. At some offices there are document check staff. They want a print out. The TM30 is more required for 30 day extensions rather than annual extension. Be aware that extension in Bangkok from visa exempt will be done at Lak Si IT mall and not CW.
