  1. @BexMan I asked earlier how did you enter Thailand. Meaning visa exempt 60 day stamp or with a Visa eg Non O. Without a Non O you won't be able to open a Thai bank account.
  2. That's because BBL take 3-5 days to provide 12 month bank statement. Other banks can do the statement on the spot. I obtain statement + Letter day or two prior.
  3. Fine. I stated "some offices" require activity in account same day as application. Good news that CM accept ATM update. I'm aware BBL provides that. Do all banks?
  4. Are you serious. Hope you can recover from this ordeal.
  5. That was, exactly my experience 2 years ago. I was (still am) on annual extensions. Just needed my PP, no COR. I provided 12 month lease but hardly interested in it. Great that you had a "normal" experience today. Thanks for update.
  6. Forget about the DTAC. Or any address you put on it. Nothing to do with anything. For the 30 day extension you will need to obtain a TM30 in the area of immigration office where you attend to apply. Since the owner of property does not want to provide a TM30 (nor would I) then you need to obtain TM30 in another way. Either from wife for Saraburi address or even from a hotel.
  7. I have not read a report same as the one you posted. As we know the Bank Letter is to show you as owner of the account and balance on day of issue. Of course the balance for income method is irrelevant. If indeed BBL are not providing the required letter (required by immigration) that would be huge issue. BBL seems to be on witches hunt.
  8. Why didn't you obtain a price. That's standard procedure. I disregard your account. Have sent several people to them and all had excellent results. Some for simple procedure such as crown to full reconstruction.
  9. What is your accommodation. They should do the TM30 for you and provide copy to show immigration. Jomtien immigration location is shown on google Maps. You mention COR for bank account. What entry stamp do you have? Meaning entered visa exempt of with a Non O? Here is thread. The third post has handy link outlining docs for COR. In reality io may just ask for TM30 and also provide lease if you have one. https://aseannow.com/topic/1328161-quick-one-residency-certificate/
  10. The extension is based on over 50yr of age. A condition of that is not working in Thailand. You do not need to be retired. The home visit is unusual and in the main is to verify address and that he is living there.
  11. You did not mention your immigration office
  12. So agent for some years. No actually knowledge of current extension process re que timeframe
  13. If you fail to obtain an appointment and end up doing a walk in... please do a report of experience after approval. Would be very helpful to others. One issue I'm not sure of is that some offices insist on bank book update on day of application. Difficult if you're at immigration at 8am
  14. @rwilem excellent post IMO. Hopefully the OP at some point will clarify.
  15. Why? As first two replies have asked... Why now do you feel this is no longer possible. At a guess you may be concerned with recent issues with BBL. Jomtien is LOA... Land of agents. There are plenty of agents in Pattaya that can assist you. Just to be clear.... you do not meet the financial requirements yourself. Rather you use an agent for that.
  16. From various sites ... You see many replies here is one example.... Suggest you bite the bullet and arrive ~ 8am "I went into Chiang Mai Immigration a week before I was planning to renew. Had some questions and the very helpful guy at the desk added it was a waste of time making an appointment. I didn't ask why but ..... just get there at 7.30am, get a number and it shouldn't take too long. Last week it was something of a circus at document checking so don't be much after 7.30! It only took 50 minutes once I was inside to be on my way!
  17. This mob gives clear outline. Have you considered obtaining it at airport. Immigration have optional service charge of 200b to do form + pic etc Re-Entry Permit Thailand | ThaiEmbassy.com https://share.google/daBpeUyfGPonS7cxj
  18. Fine... Do whatever. I use appointments for CW and there have been times when forced to attend without an appointment. Would be nice for a recent first hand report from someone that did extension retirement without appointment at CM
  19. Well clearly that's a CM thing or anomaly at that time. Most offices that have appointments the window is only next 30 days. I checked the appointments for CM and yes none available. No need for the screenshots.. As for agents you can easily google "visa agent CM" Be aware that hand holding exercise comes at a cost that surprises me
  20. My posts are based on doing extensions at CW. Which is an extremely busy office. Granted you are dealing with CM. I have not read (in recent times) need to arrive CM at 5.30am. In any event grab an agent if you're that way inclined.
  21. @brewsterbudgen Think this guy did this a CW in recent times. Hopefully can advise.
