  1. I can't find it but recent report in a thread where someone returning from trip abroad had success with TM47 via mail.
  2. Makes zero sense. One friend comes to mind. Married to Thai and has child + home and truck in UT. Granted he could obtain a non O however youngish and still works full time in Oz, visits when can. To think this group cannot obtain a 5 yr TDL is crazy. Even more so if they have a valid DL from home country. The bloke I refer to is a truck driver. Crazy.
  3. @thai006 outlined his account in this thread....Not pleasant https://aseannow.com/topic/1347328-nong-khai-border-bounce-avoid/
  4. The OP is dealing with CW. That immigration office wants update on day of application and "activity" Both can be achieved by 100b deposit with teller. The issue is SCB do not have branch at CW. However can be done by attending bank on day of application.
  5. Bit unrelated however here is my recent renewal. I had appointment for extension Nov 5 at 11am (CW) I also had appointment at 10am for 90 day report (A mistake). IO sent me away from report desk and told me to do extension first After which I was seen instantly. I also had new pp couple of months prior but did the transfer at that time as was exiting Thailand. Reason for suggesting the 90 report (even though not required) it puts your new pp# etc into the "system" I have not exited Thailand since Nov 5 and just recently received approval for my online report. Was almost overnight approval. Still in shock as previously very little success.
  6. Hope I'm not mixing up your dates. Thinking best option is to have stamp transfer done at same visit as extension. Both those services are done L32-35 desks. After receiving the extension you could go to 90 day report desks and do that in person. However not necessary. You could even obtain your reentry permit into new pp. Note obtaining reentry permit also available at airport on departure. Note: if you extension is based on retirement immigration will require your bank book and photocopies of pages + update etc. No problem as you would have all that for extension. You may require two sets.
  7. In person it can be done up to 7 days after due date. So leaving on due date the 90 report is not required.
  8. Correct. Also upon return (as you would be aware) arrival counts as day one. When report window opens you could consider report via mail
  9. First up think you will be fine. What is you prior history with stay in Thailand. Surprised they told you that on Thai side. If all else fails you could consider flight to Bangkok and if history in Thailand extensive a "safe entry" airport service works a treat. This is a recommended service: https://www.facebook.com/srthaivisaservices/?checkpoint_src=any
  10. The OP @Tod Daniels in this attached thread outlines the process. https://aseannow.com/topic/1330417-ive-been-denied-entry-to-thailand-now-what/ You will be fine. Chill.
  11. I don't understand why you cannot renew your 5 yr TDL just because you don't have for eg extensions from a Non O. However that's a Transport office "thing"
  12. Assume you mean renew license while on eg visa exempt entry. You will be given a TDL with 2 yr validity
  13. Love the comic relief. Online for me at CW has hardly ever been successful. I'm in shock that my last one was approved.
  14. The OP will enter via Nong Khai tomorrow. @stephen tracy please update your upcoming experience. Will be very helpful.
  15. Identification for WHAT? When would you not have your passport? If you are asking about hotel check in etc then state that. What do you mean " some entities require me to have driving license that is correct" What "entries" What are you asking? If you think TDL can get you into National Park etc you are wrong. Seriously don't understand any of your questions.
  16. Has me confused. 90 report should have nothing to do with annual extensions. So here is a story... Nov 5 , i attended CW for 2 appointments. One for TM47 and one for annual extension. I went to 90 report first. In broken English the io told me obtain extension first. I only had 3 days till expiry and I needed extension for her to give renewal date 90 days after I do extension.
  17. Of course not. What do you mean "change your driving licience" You can drive anywhere in Thailand with your TDL. When renewal is due you obtain COR and renew at Transport office where you live
  18. https://aseannow.com/topic/1334413-dtv-and-90-day-reports/
  19. Yes it does. You obtain COR where you live. File TM30, TM47 etc. Thread for obtaining COR Jomitien (good OP) https://aseannow.com/topic/1283077-certificate-of-residence-jomtien-immigration/ Question 2 same answer as Q1.. What are you trying to achieve. Your threads are not clear.
  20. Does NOT matter. I received two COR from CW. First for 2 yr licience then another for 5 year renewal. My TDL has First-Middle-Surname. If it was Surname first then Fine. My current TDL has my old pp #. I renewed pp last year. Does it matter? No. Your TDL (with surname first) is A-OK
  21. I wasn't up to date. Seems now it's acceptable. As usual perhaps not at all Transport offices.
  22. Yes in this same thread I posted with link of recent 2024 report of obtaining TDL renewal with pink ID and yellow book. The saying ..."yes no yes" springs to mind
