The only reason you're in a bad situation is due to rogue 2 month rule from Jomtien immigration. I posted above same time as your post. Given you have had ongoing extensions at that office you could ask them. Re Agent. You could use your own funds and ask agent to step around the 2 month issue if possible.

No offense but that was not clear from the start. Why mention proof of marriage. I suggest you visit Jomtien and ask if 800k needs to be seasoned for 2 months to obtain non o. If answer is yes I suggest you obtain 30 day extension plus 60 day extension in that order.

I didn't realize that you had the required time up your sleeve so that not a problem. The Non O provides a 90 day stamp and that's plenty to season funds for 2 months for the 12 month extension. Provided the funds (800k) have been in the account for 2 months you should be fine at Jomtien immigration. Earlier this year they were insisting the 800k had to be in account for 2 months. This made it impossible for folk with visa exempt entry to obtain non O The actual rule is 800k in account on day of application. No seasoning required

You require 800k in Thai bank account on the day of application. Unless the funds have been in the account for "some period of time" you would need to show funds came from abroad. Which immigration office?

If you don't have a Thai bank account you would need to use an agent to obtain one or consider obtaining a Non O (retirement) from another country prior to entry.

Just a heads up...all the car/bike joints (agents) such as Fat Boys and BSR bikes in Bangkok cannot assist you with certificate of residence. Some embassies can supply equivalent but 3 embassies do not. The agents in Pattaya can provide a residence certificate but that's not much help for you.

OP, you won't be able to obtain a certificate of residence from CW. That office requires to have made a TM47 (90 day report) On visa exempt not possible. Even if it was, the process takes approx one week. It's mailed out. No instant service available

That's incorrect. A non O based on retirement or marriage can be obtained at Thai immigration from a visa exempt or tourist visa entry. For tourist visa entry you use form TM86 and visa exempt entry TM87.. I beg to differ, if the OP is flying from DMK to KL. Where did he mention fly to KL from DMK He stated.... "Following that, I'll be travelling south and likely exiting Thailand on a ferry into Malaysia where I'm not confident they'll have the option to get a re-entry permit."
