OP what is date of expiry of current permission of stay. What is date you would enter hospital. Which immigration office How urgent is "possible hospital stay"

Is confusing. They obtained a 30 day extension at immigration. While there asked about doing a subsequent border bounce. Clearly not up with TM30 requirement to make a 30 day extension. I asked where located as that would determine best option for border bounce. Most folk going to Cambodia use agent border runs. The change at Nong Khai has been swift and sharp.

Currently best to use an agent minivan border run company. TM6 was stopped some time ago. Still done at some land borders A TM30 for run of mill tourist is done by hotel and they can provide copy for immigration. That's irrelevant.

I'm confused with my experience Nov 5 for 90 report and annual extension which only had 3 days remaining So I try do the 90 report first (CW) So io was pushing me off saying "only 3 only 3. Do extension and come back" Dawned on me later is the "only 3" was referring to my remaining 3 days till expiry of my permission of stay. Confused off I went and did my 12 month extension. Went back to friendly io (90 report desk) and she instantly did my TM47 receipt. To complete story I very recently did online 90 report and approved almost overnight.

Thai embassies in various countries are renowned for printing fairytales. NZ is not alone. You state..... "...then 2 NK crossings. Last one in early NOV. Tomorrow will be my 4th entry (third NK crossing), if successful" Please report back your experience to the forum. A safer option in future is to use agent minivan company for border bounce. You must have reason to be using NK. I'm not aware of agent doing that run from Udon Thani to Nong Khai Won't be long till there is if reports similar to what's in this thread.

Makes zero sense. One friend comes to mind. Married to Thai and has child + home and truck in UT. Granted he could obtain a non O however youngish and still works full time in Oz, visits when can. To think this group cannot obtain a 5 yr TDL is crazy. Even more so if they have a valid DL from home country. The bloke I refer to is a truck driver. Crazy.

The OP is dealing with CW. That immigration office wants update on day of application and "activity" Both can be achieved by 100b deposit with teller. The issue is SCB do not have branch at CW. However can be done by attending bank on day of application.

Bit unrelated however here is my recent renewal. I had appointment for extension Nov 5 at 11am (CW) I also had appointment at 10am for 90 day report (A mistake). IO sent me away from report desk and told me to do extension first After which I was seen instantly. I also had new pp couple of months prior but did the transfer at that time as was exiting Thailand. Reason for suggesting the 90 report (even though not required) it puts your new pp# etc into the "system" I have not exited Thailand since Nov 5 and just recently received approval for my online report. Was almost overnight approval. Still in shock as previously very little success.

Hope I'm not mixing up your dates. Thinking best option is to have stamp transfer done at same visit as extension. Both those services are done L32-35 desks. After receiving the extension you could go to 90 day report desks and do that in person. However not necessary. You could even obtain your reentry permit into new pp. Note obtaining reentry permit also available at airport on departure. Note: if you extension is based on retirement immigration will require your bank book and photocopies of pages + update etc. No problem as you would have all that for extension. You may require two sets.

In person it can be done up to 7 days after due date. So leaving on due date the 90 report is not required.

Correct. Also upon return (as you would be aware) arrival counts as day one. When report window opens you could consider report via mail

First up think you will be fine. What is you prior history with stay in Thailand. Surprised they told you that on Thai side. If all else fails you could consider flight to Bangkok and if history in Thailand extensive a "safe entry" airport service works a treat.
