Just the usual basic. Copy Photo page pp. Copy of most recent entry stamp Copy of most recent visa if have one Copy of most recent extension if have one. As usual check with immigration. Each office may have their own requirements.

The 60 day you refer to is not a non O. It's an extension. You could enter Thailand with a single entry non O marriage. That will provide a 90 day stamp. Prior to the expiry of that stamp you apply for 60 day extension to visit wife. Prior to expiry of that 60 you apply for 12 month extension. You need 400k in bank for 2 months prior to date of application for the extension

OP, you do not requure all the photocopies you mention. If doing it yourself you can download tm8. It's 2 pages. Print out back to back one page. You can obtain reentry permit at airport and have immigration fill in form etc along with picture. 200b service fee. Multi reentry is 3800, so if you use service option 4k

Any exception to the two a year land crossings?
DrJack54 replied to Yagoda's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Yes limit visa exempt via land 2 per calendar year. Also never use PoiPet -
I await another report to confirm this. All the recent threads regards opening a bank account in Pattaya and surrounding areas required a certificate of residence or letter from embassy. So basically you are saying ...walk into bank you mention show pp with tourist visa stamp along with rental agreement (how long) and walk out with a Thai bank book.

It's a waste of time in recent years things have changed. Ignore the bring a Thai friend with account at that bank or a Thai government employee etc etc. I am stating from my own experience. I have extensions from non O based on retirement and even big branches in Sukhumvit wanted a "certificate of residence " OR letter from embassy. UK,USA,AU do not provide that for address. Also 800k in your pocket will not help. Fortunately I had success with Kasikorn, however I had a non O (not a tourist visa) Also already had an account with another bank. An agent can open an account with BBL. Cost approx 4500b

OP, reports of being able to do an extension early, (eg couple of weeks) added to the normal 30 days and some offices 45 is possible. That has occurred where there has be evidence of necessary travel and some evidence such as flights etc. However that does not change your ongoing "renewal date" The only way to do that is to start over. If married to Thai you can change the date by obtaining a 60 day extension to visit wife. In addition an agents may be able to assist with earlier renewal.

OP, you can also enter visa exempt and obtain non O based on retirement and then 12 month extension. Best option for ongoing stay in Thailand. A reentry permit will enable trips back to UK. https://aseannow.com/topic/1311886-visa-exempt-to-retirement-extension-process-and-cost/
