  1. Will add small advice here to folk dealing with CW. So today my plan was to do a 90 day report at CW. This was because my online was rejected due to lack of room #. So I filed another online report and it's still pending for over one week. So yesterday made a 90 day report appointment for today 11am. I also needed a certificate of residence. Here is the TIP......The io that does the 90 day report then she immediately processed my certificate of residence. So in future the advice is if you need a certificate of residence leave it till your 90 report window is open. It's a back door way of having an appointment. BTW appointments at CW run like clockwork.
  2. Have the old one with you. BTW dont forget to at some stage update your Thai bank account details. Things such as TDL not urgent. Note there is no urgency to transfer stamps. Can wait till you have a need to attend immigration.
  3. Visas are not transfered however information about them is transferred to first ages of new pp. Reentry permit etc will be transferred. You will require various photocopies from old pp. That depends on which immigration office. Previously USA embassy provided a letter to authorize transfer. They no longer do that. There is a form to fill in. There is/should be no charge.
  4. For some unknown reason I had similar image. Apart from fact he is USA. Was nice that someone posted his picture. Geez...how much the visa forum is so not the same without him. I have lost confidence. Previously if I posted incorrect advice I knew joe would correct that. Now bit nervous to post info that might be incorrect. Thank Joe for all the help you provided .
  5. No offense but I notice you very little posts. Heads up. ...if you read past threads then just listen to ubonjoe over all other mugs including me.
  6. At start of post I made post that included thread with post from ubonjoe (RIP) Read that tread. Any info in that from uj take to the bank as bullet proof.
  7. True. You have a point.. If the OP remotely thinks he can obtain a work permit while on extension based on retirement then he needs head read.
  8. You can apply for a multi entry non O based on retirement at Savannakhet.
  9. That is obvious. The real question is to change form non O retirement extension to a non B
  10. Can you post a report where that has occured.
  11. Basically no. Read ubonjoe in post in this thread... https://aseannow.com/topic/1227491-change-from-non-o-to-non-b-without-leaving/
  12. I don't agree with that. You are suggesting that someone can apply for eVisa for example UK pp holder applying for METV while sitting in bar in Saigon and fly into Bangkok with that evisa
  13. Your immigration office is out of line. Putting that aside I suggest you obtain the non O marriage at Vientiane. That requires an appointment. Alternatively you can do likewise at Savannakhet. You can then obtain your 12 month extension seamlessly at your immigration office. Your office is being crackpot but not much you can do. Did you ask to speak with senior io? Just to make sure some jr gave incorrect advice.
  14. Find these reoccurring threads re fillable forms and blue v black pens ridiculous. Either download form and spend a minute to fill in form. And yes use Blue pen (just in case) OR next time you visit immigration pick up hand full of each form. TM7, TM8, TM47 etc. Not difficult.
  15. I just checked. Appointment times are available tomorrow (Thurs) Be aware that if you make an appointment you need to print out confirmation email. That comes instantly after making appointment
  16. Yes it has. In fact I have an appointment for 90 day report tomorrow. Also will try obtain certificate of residence. They post that out. Will update tomorrow. Here is link for appointment for 90 report https://www.immigration.go.th/?page_id=20131
  17. Stop there.. Many folk apply for subsequent non O visa. It could be as simple as change from non O-A to non O. Could be exit Thailand kill off non O-A to reentry visa exempt and obtain new non O .
  18. It would be foolish to wait for email. It's easy process to check status via link I posted above.
  19. Your posts are fabrication. Read other copies of your quotes from other posters. Seriously?
  20. Please stop. The "conversions" from visa exempt exempt and tourist visa using TM87 and TM86 has been done with zero issue countless times. The most typical being expats killing off obligation to extensions from a non O-A. Also post covid there was insurance requirement for non O obtained in home country. In countless threads an alternative was suggested. That was to enter visa exempt and obtain non O in Thailand. Our great man UJ suggested that pathway in many threads. It's not difficult. It's a daily event. Stop unless scaremongering.
  21. For a non O application? Name some immigration offices that have that requirement. To be clear the thread is not about extensions
  22. Amazing. Do they provide them with sleeping bags if cannot board.
  23. It's very messy. Thinking after he obtains non O in Bangkok he would need to do FIRST extension in Bangkok. Yes after that he could do TM30 change of address back to Pattaya for ongoing extensions. Messy. Better options available. Already outlined in thread.
  24. That is not what the OP is about. You applied for extension. Seems that you entered with a non O. The OP is applying for non O retirement from visa exempt entry.
