  1. Added note...some immigration offices do not accept combination method (income + funds in bank) so folk need to be aware of what their particular immigration office accept.
  2. You can enter with a tourist OR visa exempt and apply for non O marriage or retirement (if you meet the requirements) at immigration in Thailand. Just be aware that to apply for your non O retirement you need apply with 15+ days remaining on your permission of stay.
  3. Good news from @poppysdad. Hopefully full report later to assist others.
  4. OP, you require 10k covid insurance. Suggest buy cheap cover for 30 days. Your reentry permit can be purchased from immigration anytime or at airport at departure. You fill in a TM8 form. It requires a photo. Cost 1000 baht single and 3800 baht multiple. You require Thailand Pass. You require vaccination certificate to show that you are fully vaccinated. TP...... https://tp.consular.go.th/ Insurance..... https://asq.in.th/thailand-covid-insurance
  5. @ubonjoe can advise. your extension started your count for report. I'm not sure if you can do online with the new system for first report.
  6. Your first report can be done in person and also via mail
  7. The extension is your first 90 report. That is why you were able to apply for residence certificate. Most likely will arrive within 7 days even though they state 2 weeks. The tracking # is sorta irrelevant.
  8. And those of us that deal with the 70+ other immigration offices that do not have this requirement wonder why Jomtien is so #####. BTW there is no repercussions by not reporting back after 3 months at Jomtien.
  9. @Sheryl had couple of people asking about health insurance in this thread. I don't mean the 10k covid insurance. Do you have any advice on health cover for living in Thailand ongoing. @stix40 hopefully you will obtain some advice.
  10. https://asq.in.th/thailand-covid-insurance Just checked FWD 30 day cover. 650baht
  11. No. If flying with a visa or reentry permit an onward flight will not be asked by airline at departure.
  12. Your making simple sound complicated. Yes obtain the 30 day extension. Then apply for non O retirement with 15+ days remaining on permit. For the non O you require 800k in bank on the day you apply. That non O gives you 90 day permission of stay. In the last 30 days of that permit with the money having been in the bank for 2 months apply for 12 month extension. Be aware of the ongoing financial requirements. Be aware that some imm offices require more than the 15 days mentioned above.
  13. OP, as for reason for extension tick second box on affidavit. You should go asap.
  14. The only thing that's an issue the the marriage certificate and what's required. Few good posts about this already in thread. The rest is easy.
  15. OP, you will find information about your question in adjacent forum visas work permits. Folks now asking about border runs and the requirements are outlined. Earlier it was flights to Phnom Penh and that is a straight forward option. Recently Laos borders have opened. Not many reports as yet but it's possible. Very little info re Vietnam. In fact I'm interested in trip to Saigon however entry to Vietnam seems vague and haven't seen a report. To reenter Thailand it's now quite simple if fully vaccinated. You will require 10k covid insurance and TP.. No covid tests.
  16. Assume you entered with reentry permit or same visa. Think your next 90 report online will be no problem.
  17. For sure. I'm not married and I just leave 800k+ in dedicated account for extensions based on retirement. The point is I would do that even if I was married. Such a breeze for extensions based on retirement using money in bank method. Think use of agent is a separate matter.
  18. He was suggesting the OP use an agent for non O retirement and subsequent extension
  19. He can place 400k each year in bank for 3 months and then use the money. Simple. Income method is only one option. Extension based on marriage money in bank is not difficult. Cost 1900baht.
  20. There nothing to sort out for onward flight. I just checked Bangkok to Saigon (as I also planing that trip) 1500baht one way. Pay online instant confirmation. As mentioned google "onward flight" and companies provide rent a ticket service. That's an option. As for agent in Pattaya. Yes there are plenty but not of much use for non O marriage and extension. You can do it yourself.
  21. Geez. Read his point 4. The op is misusing the term "retirement visa"... "4- I did not want to use an agent but if i do can a retirement visa based on marriage be done in the first 30 days in Pattaya.".
  22. You cannot obtain non O-A in Thailand. It's now dead. Good news. You can obtain a non O retirement at immigration office. You need 800k in your Thai bank account on day you apply. With that 90 day permit, allow the money to season for 2 months then apply for 12 month extension. The financial requirements are exactly the same as extensions from a non O-A. The only difference is that extension to non O does not require insurance whereas from non O-A insurance is required.
  23. Apparently not. You gave advice about requirements for non O retirement. Not required.
  24. I was referring to 90 day reports not annual extensions. ......From the OP..... "I just looked opened my email inbox and saw a message from Thai Immigration. It was a friendly reminder that my 90 day report is due 30 May and I can either submit my 90;day report online or I can stop by my local office"
