  1. Geez, someone got out wrong side of the bed. Thinking all that bit harsh.
  2. What form would that letter take. I mean what would eg letter from USA embassy state.
  3. Most immigration offices would not require 90 report for anyone entering thailand with tv or visa exempt and obtained covid extensions.
  4. Your using income method. Seems your obtaining letter from your embassy to certify your income. Money in bank method refers to funds keep in a Thai bank account. Cut to the chase...there has been no changes.
  5. Why waste time of forum with a fictional story. If it's you, fine post details and obtain advice.
  6. I'm aware of what agents can do as per my posts re assisting couple of people at Hua Hin where that immigration office was requiring the "letter from embassy". My post was referring to CE without use of agent.
  7. I'm not sure if that will be possible. Perhaps directed at couple of countries. For the majority not relevant.
  8. This thread comes up often. Very little to do with visas or basis of living in Thailand. Can't understand why this thread has not been moved to financial forums.
  9. You have entered on a tourist visa. At a guess you might also apply for 30 day extension at some point. Prior to attending immigration for extension you should obtain a TM30 receipt from hotel to show immigration if they request it. No urgency. BTW... Excellent report. Your post will assist others. Thanks.
  10. Are you using money in bank method or income method. Are you from country where embassy will issue you with income letter.
  11. I have looked at past threads. Even our go to guy ubonjoe stated in one thread "it may be required". Think what would happen at MTT is at doc check someone might reject and tell you to come back with a TM30. When they were fining people it was 800baht. Can't give any guaranteed advice.
  12. Hopefully someone with first hand experience of 30 day extension at MTT can give you a heads up. Pretty sure it was being asked for covid extensions. You could always check into a hotel for one night that does TM30 and give you receipt.
  13. Your correct. However I would prefer "destination country.."
  14. I'm not so excited....this phrase.. "Thai Immigration has announced that those people who are unable to return to their home country due to Covid-19 ....." Unable to return to home country. Let's see how the immigration offices interpret this.
  15. Not in order but.... I stated "copy of visa if any" just to make it more general. Don't know why you made 2 copies. The TM7 is extension form. It's available when you attend immigration or you can download and pre fill out and attach photo. BTW you mentioned CW. If your obtaining a 30 day extension to visa exempt entry you will attend Mueang Thong Thani. Same for covid extension (if they continue) You do not require outbound flight. A TM30 could be asked for. Your hotel should be able to provide copy of receipt.
  16. Another freaked out immigration office. Also recently HH not issuing covid extensions without embassy letter. Affidavit wasn't acceptable. Had to assist married couple from USA 5500b per each for agent. They entered Dec last year visa exempt. First covid extension after one 30 day extension obtained at MTT. At MTT they would have obtained CE no issue.
  17. He got his CE. He just needs return for stamp. The io would have zero idea what's happening with regards them continuing post today.
  18. Thank goodness I don't live in Jomtien. Bunch of red necks. Whatever that means. Hope it means backward.
  19. Well summed up. Just to add, he could also elect to obtain reentry permit at airport on exit.
  20. Are those accounts used only for immigration purposes no daily banking involved. Jomtien?
  21. This suggestion won't assist you this time, however I suggest to anyone using the funds in bank method retirement to have a designated bank account for immigration purposes. A FD account is an option. Statements not required at CW so given Jomtien is a stupid office not sure if separate account would assist.
  22. No offense but they would/could give you under consideration period irrespective of what happens post March 25. BTW the immigration officers wouldn't have a clue what's happening after today.
  23. Tax on what income? Your would not be working in Thailand if on extensions retirement.
  24. He is leaving Thailand. 90 report receipt would not be required.
