  1. You can go anytime up to 30 days prior to expiry. 45 days at some io. Note your new 12 month extension will start from day of application and not from expiry of your current extension. Here is thread and also has links to other threads. Your wife will need to be with you for the change application but not for ongoing extensions.
  2. I'm doing exactly that this November. No issue. Just travel with both passports. The non O visa is not transfered however they record it's details in new pp. The transfer of stamps eg reentry permit is done at immigration office where they were issues. Remember to also update things such a as bank account etc. There is no rule re timeframe to transfer stamps. You can travel with both passports.
  3. Many reports of issue for some including myself at CW.
  4. Only done at entries via land. Not for entry via air.
  5. You could do the 90 day report on same visit as applying for extension. Obviously 90 report desk first then onto L desk for extension Also as I have posted earlier... CW now asking for TM47 in paperwork for extension. Previously not required.
  6. True. We sometimes get criticized for being too pedantic. One example is the OP stating... "What is the process of transferring a Visa to a new passport"... Now what does he actually have... Could be a ME Non O visa. Could be he actually is on extensions from a Non O (single entry) Hence at start of thread I looked at OP,s other posts in various threads. Clearly he is on extensions. Then you can post advice.
  7. Could not be more incorrect and yet stated with such confidence
  8. Some folk would suggest that immigration offices would prefer you to use agents. Also immigration can in a blink ask for something new. Can make things difficult. Ten years of extensions based on retirement and out of the blue my most recent extension at CW they wanted my TM47. Never required one previously. Now I'm reading that at CW they want a TM30. I've never done one..
  9. When you do 90 day report online you receive confirmation straight away. That is confirmation that your application has been Received. You need check status and when you have "approved" status you print out the TM47 receipt.
  10. What the ... Use this https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/#/register/add
  11. You are not alone. I always obtain at airport and provide completed TM8. Just makes the process even more slick
  12. Great. Stick with plan obtain 12 month extension.. If you cannot obtain success with TM30 then seek assistance from agent for filing TM30. @ThaiVisaCentre One example can advise via LINE.
  13. If you are leaving Thailand at airport eg BKK they provide 200b service to process TM8 including photo, form etc
  14. Have you had the 400k baht in Thai bank account in your name only for 2 months prior to date you would apply for extension?
  15. This guy can assist. @Red Phoenix The "just before" application no problem.
  16. You are referring to TM8. Tick Non O immigrant. BTW pint out form as double sided. Also requires a pic
  17. That's fine. Your pp will show your length of stays and that no TM47 required. In any event take along the one you have.
  18. Seems they wanted a TM30. Surprised lease was not enough. As I suggested in first post obtain a TM30. At the very worst consult an agent to guide you on requirements or consult with your landlord.. Dont let one bad experience put you off. Obtain another 12 month extension. BTW: have you been doing 90 day reports as this seems to be new requirement at CW for extensions
  19. I did EXACTLY what you did. Anyway attended CW in the "grace period" think it was last day of grace period. Made appointment CW for 90 report. BTW that works a treat. Seen straight away. I tried to ask io about my no success with online. Same as you I cancelled my first application as it was pending 10 days. Showed her my second application and she said..." need wait 15 days" Didn't understand it at the time. Could be completely wrong but perhaps you will get approval within 15 days.
  20. OP, frankly do not understand your post. You dont need to be on lease. If you don't understand the process use an agent to assist. Your wife can do a TM30 and you could obtain another 12 month extension. Simple and only requires 400k in bank for 2 months prior to application. A ME Non (marriage) from Savannakhet is an option. However you have the funds. Why bother with ME Non O. Your other suggestion of mix and match tourist visas, visa exempt etc is just crazy.
  21. You would have been out of Thailand for bit over a month when you return. Some may suggest a visa exempt entry no issue. Since you are wanting to stay "month or so" Thinking your best option is a eVisa tourist visa obtained while you are in UK. Provides 60 day stay with option for 30 day extension.
  22. If your current location facilitates eVisa them obtain a SETV..
  23. Think you have left it too late for Vientiane as that requires appointment and booked out in advance. There was recent report of guy with similar history to yourself being refused TV at Savannakhet. Strangely then obtained a TV at Vientiane.
