  1. Yes that's correct. The point I was making is that's just stock market shares. Nothing brilliant about Cbus. Point is stick 800k in a basic investment such as managed funds and that would be your return.. I can understand why some folk do not keep 800k in a Thai bank account.
  2. I looked at some flights.... Krabi to BKK and on to Phnom Penh to send to the OP. They are not nice. At lower price end have huge wait time at BKK. approx 4k The shorter stop in BKK is not much shy of 10k. The OP goes into overstay this weekend. A stitch in time...... Edit: just found a good one. Attached.
  3. I'm pretty sure your correct. Having applied for extension and refused and issued a get out of dodge notice it's imperative to leave. Earlier in thread I had slight dig at op leaving his options till last minute. I mentioned the 7 days to buy wee bit of time however turns out that has already been done. Overstay starts this weekend.
  4. I posted a link to thread of trip report to Cambodia at that start of this thread. If you hit that link it will take you to that thread. It's very well written and I agree with @EricTh a better option.
  5. No offense but you seem bit new to the reentry permit procedure. It's best to read up on what's required if obtaining at airport it's in office zone 2 past security check but prior to passport control. Would you be flying out from BKK airport as your first leg.
  6. Condo location is Bangkok Thailand.
  7. The reentry permit can be obtained at the airport or immigration office. I prefer airport and the process does not take long. 1000baht single reentry permit. If you immigration office is handy you can obtain it there.
  8. So bit of update re costs etc. So some of the cost breakdown. Rounded up. 70k for contractor. The works included removal of all wallpaper. Removal of floor tiles. Kitchen cupboards painting and all walls and ceilings. Supply of all tile glue. Excluding cost of tiles. Installation of granite bench top. Excluding cost of bench top. Install new vanity and proved new GPO for washing machine and water supply. Many miscellaneous items such as I stall new curtain rods etc etc. Remove all waste materials and various unwanted items. Then there was all the furniture. The cost of those items are well known. No need to list. That total included items such as 55" tv so this amount would vary greatly. Total for these items 60k. All tiles 12k. Granite bench 8k. Vanity 10k. We had bad and good luck with Aircon. Pretty much needed to replace both Aircon. The upside was that contractor had couple of almost brand new units. A Daikin and Mitsubishi. Both installed for total 35k. Also two holes approx 40x80cm needed to be made in ceiling. Our main contractor made good at minimal cost. So in total almost 200k. The pic kitchen is pre install splashback. Red mosaic. Furniture install Friday. Tenants move in April 6. Not bad turn around.
  9. I would be happy to give them money if the deal included them not setting foot on my property let alone inside my home. Different strokes for different folks.
  10. Think your best option would be to obtain a Tourist Visa. As mentioned earlier some reports of smooth process at Phnom Penh. If you obtained a TV that would give 60 day stamp and can be extended by 30 days. Hopefully by that time some land borders will open and more options available. Given the very short time left on your permit, you could apply for extension and when refused you would be given 7 days to exit. (it's not an extension). Alternatively go on overstay and pay fine at airport as soon as you can fly out. If land border to Malaysia opens that is an alternative. Are you fully vaccinated.
  11. The 30 was possible typo and was mention early in the thread in 2nd and 3rd post. "BTW a tourist visa gives you 60 days and can be extended by 30"
  12. Be aware that at CW prior to entry there is a form to sign, basically stating no symptoms. Easy for folk to criticize option of attending immigration office yourself. Having said that I would attend immigration.
  13. Not all embassies provide income letter. Notably UK, USA, AU.
  14. You already have given advice. Basically supporting idea of having wife "taking care of it" At a point in time op looking at overstay.
  15. The OP has very short timeframe to act. I suggested agent as an option. I did miss fact that he is married and that could be option. IMO ,it would be not best option. I note @BritTim suggested similar, to send close gf or wife. On this I'm not so sure but often he is on the money.
  16. Yes indeed corrected my post re wife prior to my mistake. Bottom line is that won't work re sending wife off to immigration imo he should use agent.
  17. Say what. The agent was a suggestion only. BTW agent I mentioned is sponsor of AseanNow. Many others provide similar service.
  18. Proof of funds came from overseas not required for extensions. It is required for non O application retirement in Thailand. Why 3 months? Having stated that if the OP has the funds he could deposit in bank anytime minimum 2 months prior to next extension.
  19. How did you enter Thailand. Not eligible for covid extension? Your best option is fly to Phnom Penh. You left it till now!
  20. This is being asked also in this thread. I always thought an onward flight is not required. Have read ubonjoe mention it is required and he is the expert. https://aseannow.com/topic/1255051-stv-to-covid-visa-now-going-to-cambodia-and-then-re-enter-thailand-on-a-30-day-tourist-visa/
  21. Thinking you should continue with the 65k+ deposits and two months prior to attending immigration have the 800k+ in your bank account. When you are given the extension you then continue with the money in bank requirements and the monthly deposits not required.
  22. Thanks for report. You didn't consider making an appointment? Agree with above poster a list of what you supplied would be useful. Don't think you mentioned bank letter. At CW it's convenient to obtain on day of application along with making deposit. Arrived 6.15am!! Have never understood why folk do that.
  23. Please do report back what occurs re onward ticket. It's many years ago when I was obtaining tourist visas for Thailand at the Saigon Thai consulate. I had to show a print out of confirmed flight INTO Thailand, however never recall providing flight out. This is long time ago so things could be completely different now. If required, I guess your options would include cheapest throw away ticket.
