OP , Your post is so naive it's hard to know where to start. There is a maximum 2 visa exempt entries via land per calendar year. You will be able to do visa exempt entry via land in 2023. Each entry by visa exempt or eg tourist visa can be extended ONCE per entry by 30 days. There is a maximum number of tourist entries from particular same consulate. Two is common.

Again, I understand that for annual extensions. This could arise with for example off shore workers etc. For 90 day reports it makes no sense. They are not related to annual extensions. In any event bit off topic from the OP.

Exactly regarding agents. They can assist with early extensions etc. I can understand that especially with a trip upcoming outside of Thailand and need to obtain early extension. The pst I replied to is far more simple situation. He wants to submit 90 day report early and ignore the reentry date. I'm still not sure why.

However for you it's a 2 minute gig. Congratulations. Not so simple for many. What would be a high low guesstimate of attending Jomtien immigration after obtaining bank book update etc.

I married you can apply for 60 day extension to visit wife. Sometimes that used by married guys to gain time for seasoning for funds in bank or perhaps it's only a visit and 60 days is adequate. I was really interested in your post with no requirement for insurance for non O retirement. Previously 90 day insurance was required. Clearly missed when it was dropped. The non O marriage did not require insurance.

The window you refer to is based on your entry date. So you cannot report early based on your previous due date. Out of curiosity why the need to report early. You do realize you can do it via mail or online.

They have always been serious with checking the funds over the previous 12 months. At all offices. The report back 3 months after obtaining the extension for bank book check (at Jomtien and couple of other io) was a rubbish idea. Zero repercussions for ignoring it. The io for next extension will check previous 12 months.

And that was a non O based on retirement?

OP, yes you are correct. Just in case you are unaware. You can obtain your reentry permit at immigration OR at the airport.

You already have the correct answers above. I will be in same situation as you soon. I plan to file the 90 report online at the 75 day mark when I return. If it remains pending for more that day or two the back up will be to file via mail. Of course if your immigration office is handy you can always do it in person. Online remember to change your arrival date. The rest is mainly auto fill.

No need to exit Thailand. You will just apply for new extension. Your pp will have an admitted till date. You can apply for your new extension up to 30 (some offices 45) days prior. You don't "lose" any days by applying early. A good policy is to do it couple of weeks early just in case immigration wants something extra that you overlooked.

Read all my posts I recommended against that option and outlined alternatives. Some folk have opted for a non O based on retirement for a 90 day stay. (It's not a retirement visa). So it's certainly an option some choose. It avoids any contact with immigration after arrival for extension. As for any insurance you state..... "He's over for 90 days so travel insurance is what he'll require." It's not a requirement. It's personal choice. Nothing to do with visa options and visa exempt entry.

So you entered on a tourist visa. That provides 60 day permit. What happens after that. If you plan to obtain a 30 day extension then you most likely require a TM30.

Its not a map from immigration. Just a location showing condo and main nearby street. Hardly difficult. Check you office they may have simple map you can photocopy

Indeed. That's why I asked which office. CW accept map of residence showing nearest main intersection. Previously had to be hand drawn. More recently accept other. I use a photocopy of the back of flyer on my condo that has map. Think they now also allow Google maps at CW.

What I mentioned was a non O based on retirement obtained in UK. That would provide a 90 day stamp upon entry. Some folk have found that process messy. With visa exempt entry that would be granted however the extension is for 30 days. Total 75days. In order to obtain total of 90 days you would need to exit Thailand and reenter with another 45 days visa exempt entry. Entries via air without a visa the airline may require onward flight within 30/45 days. Some options to satisfy that are discussed in many threads.
