  1. If you marry Thai and continue to obtain extensions based on retirement you need 800k in bank for 2 months prior to application and 3 months after and not below 400k in other months. If extension is based on marriage financial requirements is 400k for two months prior to application and till final stamp in pp. Then funds can be used. Sweet deal however has more paperwork, home visit, etc Here is ubonjoe link to requirements. https://aseannow.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=843557&key=2caaa6b16bae18dd24e0a61253734932 State your immigration office for better information. Edit: my post is outlining marriage to a Thai. My error.
  2. Just apply few days early. Your 30 day extension is added to current permission of stay regardless of when you apply
  3. It is 7 days however ..... The point you make about different io is valid.
  4. https://aseannow.com/topic/1319412-30-day-visa-extension/
  5. All good. Just for others in Bangkok note : do not attend CW. You attend Lak Si The main thing your friend should require is TM30. TM7 form requires photo.
  6. Where will he be located. Which immigration office https://aseannow.com/topic/1328362-30-day-extension/
  7. Clearly I'm the odd one out. I find driving in Thailand very easy. Living in Bangkok you would think the opposite. Always need to watch out for motorbikes. If you want a challenge esp re motorbikes give Saigon a try..
  8. OP, where are you located in Thailand. That determines your best border crossing to some extent. Entering Thailand via land should not be an issue but expect to send couple of days in eg Nong Khai. Also some nonsense such as proof of accommodation and even flight out of Thailand. A minivan border run agents is your best option.
  9. A single entry non O provides a 90 day stamp. In the last 30 days you obtain a 12 month extension. Has financial requirements. Visas are now eVisa application. https://www.thaievisa.go.th/ Given process time and no online payment system, a better option is to obtain Non O at local Thai immigration office from visa exempt entry
  10. Think she fine once have boarding pass. Good luck. Please update forum with outcome.
  11. The OP seems to want to stay longer that 60 days. His options have been outlined clearly in the thread. I don't understand his ongoing questions.
  12. What is your status in Thailand. Meaning Non immigrant etc OR tourist No offense however for future posts include location. Your profile is Bangkok. Like everything in Thailand location/immigration office is important.
  13. OP, you don't need an agent. Admittedly I used one during covid to be able to obtain que #. In Bangkok you will need to obtain a certificate of residence, medical, etc. PLENTY of threads providing details of process and required docs. Which transport office do you plan to use in Bangkok. My Oz license on one card is car and bike In Thailand it's two separate licenses. If obtaining both at same time you can ask CW for one COR and photocopy. If determined to use agent check with Fatboys or BSR bikes. Form for COR https://aseannow.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=439173
  14. OP, your old TM6 has no relevance. If the new online TM6 commences May 1 then to enter Thailand after that you will do the online TM6.
  15. It's not visa on arrival. It's visa exempt entry and gives a 60 day permission of stay. That can be extended by 30 days for 1900b Folk usually apply for extension week or 2 prior to stamp expiry. The 30 is added to the current permission of stay so no days "lost" by applying early
  16. The deal breaker for me was the need to do TM47 in person after travel abroad. This is rather recent due to some brain fade idea to sync online reporting with TM30. For some it's not an issue, however I travel abroad regularly and also dealing with the monster CW is no treat. Fortunately for me inter provience travel not an issue
  17. I took a guess that she might be flying with Avianca airlines. They have a well set out web page and guideline requirements etc. Check it out
  18. @Tod Daniels commented on this in another forum. Hopefully he can advise. It's to late to have vaccine. Can she contact her airline. MFA seem to suggest required List of countries which require International Health Certificate for Yellow Fever Vaccination. - Ministry of Foreign Affairs https://search.app/iXDyprz19AXK5v6w8
  19. Perhaps he is considering eVisa (3 months) eVisaPH | Official Website https://search.app/SGjpSPKMXDPicSFK9 Another option would be Vietnam. eVisa process time 4-5 days.. VERY few requirements Vietnam evisa - National portal on Immigration https://search.app/xdyax37wJUhGu6D48
  20. Agree. Also to add even if you have someone to leave funds to i.e gf, wife etc it's not necessarily a simple process. Personally moving to income method and very close to using an agent
  21. Some find this a useful site. Thailand Public Holidays 2025 - qppstudio.net https://search.app/Tfm33ieKUfVdivBr5
  22. Thinking this is best option for OP Maintain an ongoing balance of 400k held in bank + required monthly transfers. As per usual in Thailand he needs seek advice from his immigration office.
