Suggest your friend ran into an io on power trip. His second visa exempt entry should have been no issue -
4th back to back entry?

Recent report of poster requiring 2 night stay using Nong Khai (without agent) Also some border crossings asking for flight to pp country within the 60 days. Along with accommodation. Not sure why these threads are started. At some point entry is problematic. -
Which immigration office

Not being picky however you need to understand what you have. You don't have a retirement visa you currently have a permission of stay that you extend every year. To exit Thailand and reenter you buy a reentry permit either single or multiple. Seems that you use an agent. Assume that the agent covers the financial requirements. The agent can obtain a reentry permit and most do at standard immigration cost. 4k. You will have zero issues living in Thailand with Extensions based on retirement. Either DIY or by using agent. Where are you located

Overstay and fly back home.

Everything correct. As others will post.....be very careful making your way to airport. Once in Bangkok the rail link to BKK would be one option.. They have seen it all before Ban 10 yr. https://assets.aseannow.com/forum/uploads/monthly_2023_11/Screenshot2023-11-02at23_13_35.png.7975610a38722e75f83d06ac00685035.png -
Not sure I follow. Does he currently have an existing reentry permit in old pp? If he does then just travel with both passports
-
Seems not. I tried very early this morning and then later to immigration hours. On both instances Jan fully booked and only Feb 14 and 26 had opening. Even then only one slot on each day. Suggest you do walk in. Perhaps a Wed obtain ticket just prior to lunch break. Note you will need to show filled in TM7 for que# Do paperwork between 12-1pm. You will 100% be seen in arvo session.

Are you in Bangkok? You mention Bangkok in another thread also mobility issues. No need to transfer.stamps at this time. You could leave it till next annual extension Here is link (for second time) Hit link and download form. https://aseannow.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=995063&key=4ad28e64c063398b61d0a726240743c6

The bank provides two different things. 1.The "bank letter" This is a simple A4 page statement that confirms you as the owner of the account with a/c# and balance at date of issue. 2. The "bank statement" is list of every day of transactions in your account. The bank statements can be 3/6/12 months as you require. My annual extension for example require 12 month bank statement. For first extension 3 months should be sufficient and some immigration offices would just accept your bank book and photocopies.

American Passport Renewal Process
DrJack54 replied to djeetyet's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
It's a joke really. To rub it in....I recently renewed my Oz passport. You can do the whole thing online. In addition current pp is not sent with application. Don't understand why USA, Canada etc require you submit existing pp. Also the mail part was just EMS Thai post. A casual stroll to local mall. BTW for Oz folk process time from post to return address delivery in Bangkok was 20 days. -
The first step is apply for Non O. Basically it's approved on that day however is forwarded to divisional headquarters for "checking". The day you apply for the non O you will be given a "return to immigration office" date for final stamp. That can be 30 days later. You may also have a home visit durning that time. Travel outside of Thailand during that time is possible however would require a reentry permit. That permit would only cover the under consideration period. Not advised. If something coming up requires this travel you would be better advised to push the Non O application back. This can be done by obtaining a 60 day extension to visit wife added to current visa exempt entry. What travel is so important. Seems your timing/planning is off
-
Think you on wrong page. You have a 60 day visa EXEMPT stamp. First step is to apply for the Non O marriage. You will need 15 days + remaining on your permission of stay. That only requires the 400k to be in your Thai bank account on day of application. That Non O visa gives you a 90 day stamp. I'm last 30 days apply for 12 month extension.

Surely someone has been in your situation. Yes the stamps will need to be done at CW as that's where issued. Various agents in Bangkok can advise. Does not mean you have to use one. However if I lived in Rayong an agent would be my preferred option if they offer that service. EDIT: Afterthought. Why bother transferring stamps. Son can travel abroad with both pp.. Have them transfered at time of next extension
-
I can't say for sure. Hopefully someone with first hand experience can advise for CW. Have read some offices require child to be present. Sounds ridiculous. The stamps need to be transferred at immigration office where was issued. From memory you're located Rayong and extensions issued CW? Consider contacting agent eg @ThaiVisaCentre for definitive advice.

OP, from another of your threads seems you located Bangkok. Here is form CW use for transfer of stamps List of requirements at bottom of form https://aseannow.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=995063&key=4ad28e64c063398b61d0a726240743c6 Be aware there is no urgency to transfer stamps. You can do that when have business with immigration eg extension. Be aware that if extension is based on retirement immigration at CW are requiring presentation of bank book and photocopies and update to show compliance with the financial requirements.
