  1. True...so how many entries via air visa exempt would you suggest is possible. Most likely depends how long someone stays in Thailand. Moving away from OP, so how many back to back visa exempt via air plus 30 day extension is possible
  2. Don't follow. It's the online app that offers auto fill. The magnifying icon after entering name and pp #. Many do online report on cell
  3. Fact is MANY reports in recent months of issues with online reports. Seems most connected to international travel or passport renewal. Some (my case CW) seems random rejection
  4. UK, USA, AU embassies do not provide proof of residence
  5. No just Thai consulate. Think you are making easy difficult If you are going to have agent open bank account. All good. Then go on your trip to Vietnam as mini break. Return to Thailand visa exempt and (seems) you will receive 60 day stamp. In that time apply for non O retirement at local immigration office. Preferably where you plan to live. The non O will provide 90 day stamp. After funds in bank for 2 months then apply for 12 month extension.. WISE is good option for fund transfer. Both Bangkok bank and Kasikorn can do Thai in one transfer. Here is thread outlines process of visa exempt entry to non O retirement. https://aseannow.com/topic/1311886-visa-exempt-to-retirement-extension-process-and-cost/ Edit: some of your post I cut. Stick to topic.
  6. There are no visas by those names. Even Thai immigration refers incorrectly to retirement visa and marriage visa. What you are planning on doing is obtain a non O visa based on retirement. That provides a 90 day permission of stay (permit) you then extend your permission of stay each year by 12 months. Edit: OP, are you happy to close thread. Seems most of your visa, banking etc covered. Thread going into bickering
  7. No. When permission of stay based on retirement ends you can apply for extension based on marriage.
  8. You can obtain a non O retirement at example Thai consult Saigon. Located handy to Tourist area District 1 You require an appointment which can be booked out in advance. Vietnam good choice for your mini trip out of Thailand
  9. As the thread has unfolded he seems to now have opted for non O retirement. He could easily have obtained that in UK. Entering Thailand would be given a 90 day stamp. With a non O in passport would/should be able to open a bank account. Season the 800 and obtain the subsequent 12 month extension. Change changed to based on marriage in future if he wishes. Tying more for others as the OP states not going back to UK
  10. Indeed. Clearly OP has not planned well in advance. States has couple of weeks remaining on permission of stay. Vague about when marriage will occur. He could obtain bank account with Agent. Followed by non O retirement and subsequent extension. However he requires more time . Has not indicated if has obtained 30 day extension
  11. You need to do a lot of reading. Also check out "Marriage and Divorce" forum.
  12. That is correct. Ignore any posts implying it's simple to open bank account. Agents can assist however "shopping around" at different branches is useless. Head experiences in attached thread https://aseannow.com/topic/1292317-open-thai-bank-account/ Did you enter visa exempt? When do you return to UK.
  13. You should use one of 3 banks imo as they allow transfers of over 50k per day using WISE I would choose Kasikorn as they can provide 12 month bank statement on the spot. Bangkok bank cannot. No offense but you seem to know very little about Thailand. Opening a bank account is a process in itself. Some banks will require a "certificate of residence" Much more difficult than years gone by. What is your current location?
  14. Do you have a Thai bank account in your name only? That will be first hurdle.
  15. In no particular order. You cannot obtain a non O based on marriage if just engaged. Until you are married you could go the non O based on retirement. You could wait till you are married and use some gap stop method in meantime such as visa exempt entry (might be 60 days soon) + 30 day extension.. You only have 2 weeks remaining on your stamp. How did you enter Thailand. Visa exempt 30 day stamp? If so you could obtain a 30 day extension. Forget ED visa etc. You do not have to adopt and of her children. You state....."Youngest kid becomes your responsibility too when married, don't have to take any action" Perhaps poor expression. Her children and your wife (future) is your responsibility. Here is a thread outlining how to enter Thailand visa exempt and process to non O marriage and subsequent 12 month extension In my post I have links to other threads. Read them all.
  16. You are only allowed 2 visa exempt entries via land per calendar year. Don't imagine that will change. Current popular thread running on this. Ask questions there. https://aseannow.com/topic/1328402-big-thailand-visa-changes-from-june-1/
  17. It would remain at 30 day extension as per when previously visa exempt raised to 45 days extensions remained at 30 days
  18. If you use an agent then most likely they will not deal with Nonthaburi immigration office. The extension to be based on retirement?
  19. Are you reading replies? I posted this earlier..,.. "Easiest way is to obtain a 30 day extension to your visa exempt entry Use a TM7 form. 1900bht You can apply with week or two remaining on your entry stamp. The 30 days will be added to expiry date of entry stamp" You don't require a Thai wife or child. Your stay is 6 weeks. 30 day entry stamp+ 30 day extension= 60 days. I also posted comprehensive thread that covers how to obtain a 30 day extension!
  20. If you are aware of your own office rules, then in most cases the TM30 not required after inter province travel and travel overseas. CW one example.
  21. Think they meant 60 day extension. The 60 day extension to visit wife can be used once.
  22. Easiest way is to obtain a 30 day extension to your visa exempt entry Use a TM7 form. 1900bht You can apply with week or two remaining on your entry stamp. The 30 days will be added to expiry date of entry stamp. This attached thread explains the application https://aseannow.com/topic/1324628-30-day-extension-to-visa-exempt-entry❓/ Did you consider eVisa (tourist visa) obtained in UK. Provides 60 days
