  1. Afaik the "standard" is now Sinovac first dose, AZ second dose. They don't do 2x Sinovac anymore. I've not seen any report of somebody outside of Bangkok receiving Pfizer, so I assume these are only available in Bangkok. They will probably reduce the offering for 2x AZ because they need the AZ doses for the people who got Sinovac as their first shot. Another reason would be the long waiting time between two AZ shots, they want to get people fully vaccinated as soon as possible.
  2. I don't know the specific situation in Jomtien, but in generally it's like this, yes. The smaller post offices might not collect duties, so if you need to pay duties they might send it to a bigger post office and you need to pick it up there. It can also happen that customs decides they want a detailed inspection, then the parcel is forwarded to the next customs office, you have to go there to open it and they would like a bill or something (Happened to me when I stayed in Udon Thani, next customs office was Nong Khai, so a 100+ kilometers round trip to get my parcel).
  3. Just do the TM30 yourself, then you don't have to rely on other people. Of course you need to make sure that you get a signed copy of the owner's ID card and a signed copy of the house book of the condo/house which you are renting, together with the rental contract.
  4. That's not "some rule they have in there", they simply follow Thai law. Aspirin is classed as Special Controlled Drug:
  5. There have been reports here on Thaivisa and elsewhere of people who were vaccinated with Pfizer.
  6. I think Thailand doesn't do two doses of Sinovac anymore, but the new standard is first dose Sinovac, second dose AZ. Is Sinovac + AZ better than two doses of Sinopharm?
  7. Just have your girlfriend, wife or whoever translate it.
  8. All leases I was presented have been pretty much standard, nothing really fancy or extraordinary. Usually the landlord is responsible for all appliances. Some standard contracts exclude lightbulbs though. If you are unsure you can upload your lease here and other members might give you their opinion if it contains anything strange.
  9. You are the one writing nonsense. After 3 years of not paying taxes you need to get a new green book, new license plate, pay some fees and a fine, everything explained in for example this article: https://www.moneyguru.co.th/car-and-insurance-tips/articles/วิธีการต่อทะเบียนรถยนต์ที่ขาดมา3ปี For other articles regarding the same topic just put this into Google: รถที่ขาดการต่อทะเบียนเกิน3ปี
  10. Standard procedure because the extension has to be approved somewhere higher up. I have never heard of anybody getting denied, so there is nothing to worry about, just go back at the given date and you get the extension.
  11. Then you have been lucky that nobody ever checked it, you may not import food without it being approved by Thai FDA / having an import license.
  12. You could use the Covid extensions as long as they are available, maybe it will be long enough for your money to be seasoned by then.
  13. Yesterday after 2PM they did again vaccinate everybody who walked in, many younger people as well (I would even guess the majority of people were under 60) They were quite quick in processing the queue, took less than an hour until I had my shot.
  14. Last year they lowered the fine for driving without driving license, it's now 200THB, before it was 500THB.
  15. Try Krungsri, no residency certificate required, but they want to see a rental contract.
  16. I saw the many posts from people who have problems to register, most likely because the system is designed for Thai ID cards and also requests the "laser code" starting with JT on the back of the ID card only found on Thai citizen ID cards, not on pink ID cards. Instead of scanning the QR code shared here in some posts you can also just add this Line ID as your friend to "get the Mor Prom app" (actually it's not an app): @475ptmfj Or use this link: https://page.line.me/475ptmfj Upon using the registration link there you will be asked to input your name, ID number, code on the back of the card and your birthday. If the checksum in the ID number is correct all of the data is sent to some API to be verified, if any of it doesn't match it shows an error. (Name has to be in Thai, at least when using my GF's Thai ID card as test, I don't have valid pink ID card data to test it) For the tech savvy people here: This check is only done client side, so it is possible to register with any made up data. For all regular people who have a Thai person willing to help: After one person has successfully registered, this person is able to book appointments for family members from his/her account (I doubt anybody checks if this is actually a family member, most likely any Thai friend can just book an appointment for you as well) When adding additional persons the system doesn't actually verify the data, besides of the checksum in the ID number, I guess they just forgot to implement it at this point. So to get an appointment let for example your wife register with her data first, because her data will be valid, and after this she adds you as her family member, in which case the ID number from your pink ID card will work as well. Because they forgot to implement the verification, any ID number from a "thai id number generator" which you can find on Google will work as well, but I don't know what the hospital will do if you can't present an ID card which matches the number in their system when you show up for the appointment. At some point they might notice that they didn't implement the verification correctly and what I described above might stop to work. Considering that it looks like they want only Thais to register, it's of course also a bit questionable if they will honor appointments of foreigners.
  17. I plan to do a trip to the south in November. The exact location is still open, i might also visit several provinces. I'm preferably looking for places which offer something to see right from the beach without having to go anywhere with a boat. A few years ago i was at Koh Tao, this wasn't bad. Is there anything better than this?
