  1. Actually quite easy: Weather in Chiang Mai is getting cooler, it's now high season here. It's also a long weekend Saturday to Monday, so many Thais make a trip to Chiang Mai and rent a car. I just had a look at flight prices, Saturday morning BKK to CNX, and Monday back, 5000THB+, three times as much as on other days. On any regular day you would probably not have this problem.
  2. I think it gets subsidized by the Chinese government.
  3. "Diesel" is B10 Diesel B7/B20 are what they say I wonder what the palm growers will do if the government decides to do this for more than 4 months. Will they emigrate together with their palm trees?
  4. I just had a look at the notes of the latest Cabinet meeting, the OP skipped important details: It's a multiple entry visa, valid for one year, but only granting 90 days each time. The hospitals who offer this visa have to be pre-approved by the government, they have to submit the treatment plan to the MOPH, and the MOPH has to approve it.
  5. Immigration has nothing to do with it, besides of stamping the person into Thailand.
  6. The first Covid extensions start on the day of application (at least if you had a long term extension before, not sure how it is handled after a 30 day tourist extension or so), consecutive Covid extensions from the end of the previous one.
  7. I don't know if this is a nationwide thing, but I just saw ATK tests at Mr.DIY at Central Festival Chiang Mai for 55 baht at the cashier. So if somebody is doing these tests to protect friends and family, this looks like the cheapest option. Maybe some other posters here can report if they are also sold at other Mr.DIYs. I didn't buy one, so can't give any further details.
  8. But Shopee/Lazada don't do it, OP was just looking at different shops.
  9. You don't have to upload your visa/extension, thus they won't reject you for it.
  10. The bead on a tube type rim together with a tubeless tire isn't airtight. https://www.revzilla.com/common-tread/tubed-vs-tubeless-tires-all-you-need-to-know
  11. Currently boosters only for people who got 2*sino shots. You could of course try to buy a moderna or sinopharm shot somewhere.
  12. How do you convert cast wheels on a Honda wave to tubeless?
  13. I also use Pirelli Angel CT on my Honda Wave, no complaints. If you buy them as tube type (your bike uses tubes anyway, so no point in buying the more expensive tubeless type), they cost less than 1k for the pair. Here for example 900 for the pair: https://shopee.co.th/-ยางปี21-PIRELLI-ANGEL-CITY-2.50-17-2.75-17-ขอบ17-ยางมอเตอร์ไซค์แบบใช้ยางใน-i.166059424.7264334444
  14. The 10k isn't per case, but the maximum total. According to the article last time they promised 20k. They got 36 videos with verified infractions, they paid out a totel of 2k, so about 60 baht per recorded infraction.
  15. 2 for: Turn signal left right 6 for: Joystick for menu navigation + menu button 2 for: cruise control 1 each for: headlight, fog light, high beam, heated seats, horn Actually 15 in total
  16. With a visa exempt you will get a 2 year license. To get a 5 year license you need a non-immigrant visa.
  17. It's a visa, not an extension, so people get it before coming to Thailand, thus obviously in a foreign bank account.
  18. Your bike should still have the old style buttons, afaik Triumph started switching to the new style in 2018. The old design seems to be OK, I know many people who ride bikes with it and never heard somebody complain that the there was a problem. They should have kept the old design. The buttons on the right side could be changed for an alternative, but for the ones on the left side this just seems impossible. I just counted them, it would require a total of 14 buttons on the left side to cover all functions.
  19. You don't need any app. Just scan the QR code, it's a link to your vaccine certificate, bookmark it.
  20. In case anybody is considering a Triumph: The control buttons on the handlebar (exactly the same ones as seen on the Triple 1200 pictures above) have serious quality problems. On my bike I changed the left side (turn signal etc.) twice already, and the right side (start button etc.) once. According to the Triumph dealer that's a common problem. In 3 years of ownership I've had over 10 warranty claims on my bike, the only positive thing is that they did at least exchange parts for free even after my 2 years warranty was expired. My bike (Tiger 800) is/was manufactured in Thailand, but somehow every single spare part is coming from England, meaning 2-3 weeks wait before they can exchange the part.
  21. Most embassies don't provide such letters anymore, but you don't need a letter, just complete the affidavit that you get at immigration.
