  1. Good post and no replies indicates no problem.

I'm beginning to think this whole IAT format issue is nothing more than a wild goose chase started by Bangkok Bank, and I for one fell for it.  In other threads it is apparent Bangkok Bank wants the average person getting these deposits to ensure that they are sent in the required format.  Sorry, not my job.  Either let the deposits through or shut down the whole program and suffer the loss of fees.  They need to work with the international money transfer community and fix their problem.  But, as recent days of successful deposits have shown, there is no problem.

It's easier and quicker to get a new passport in Chiang Mai than in the U.S., plus they include necessary letter to immigration asking them to transfer the immigration stamps (something you won't receive if you get a new passport in the U.S., so you'll still have to go to the CM Consulate to request such a letter).  I'd suggest applying for a new passport now in Chiang Mai before you go back to the U.S. and taking care of the transfer of immigration stamps before you leave.

Agree.  I just did this.  It is incredibly easy to get your visa extension and other stamps transferred into the new passport by immigration.  It took me 1 week to received the new passport after I submitted the application at the US Consulate.  This is the only way to go.

  3. The question I asked in the original post was "Do SS and the other US govt agencies now use the IAT format? "

I didn't get the answer I was hoping for, which was "yes"

I did get an accurate answer which was "The whole thing is one big cluster&*(k."

This is useful, though, and I am simply going to wait until it gets straightened out at the expense of those already signed up.  I don't need to get payments started until January, and if things are still messed up, I'll let the 800k ride.

    Barr has a problem.

As the names suggests, the Congressional Judiciary and the Congressional Oversight Committee has complete oversight of the DoJ and the AG and National Security.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler has this to say about Barr’s offer of a redacted copy of the report:

“As I informed the Attorney General earlier this week, Congress requires the full and complete Mueller report, without redactions, as well as access to the underlying evidence, by April 2. That deadline still stands.”

He’s setting Barr up to be forced by subpoena to deliver the full, unredacted Mueller report to Congress.

Illiberals, get your denial glasses on, the truth will (despite Individual-1’s best efforts) out!

Be careful what you wish for.
