Quick & Dirty calculation looking at the US price of milk inflation, it's 1.72 times more expensive now than 26 years ago that would increase the 800k to 1,375k

I don’t believe the Thai authorities even considered any exchange rate, only the relative wealth to their own citizens they wanted to encourage. If they increase the 800k, I think it’s more likely they would look at history and inflation and estimate what 800k would be worth today.

Musk says Tesla's can be completely submerged for short periods, generally everything is sealed, but I wouldn't be testing it in salt water.

I think that is a lesson that cost MG dear. When they came here with MG3, 5 & 6 they were terrible and they lost the confidence of the Thai people, they are clawing it back slowly but it would have been so much better if they got it right first time.

Gruber Motor Company repairing old Tesla Roadster battery packs haven't found any leakage.

My charging is done at home overnight, if traveling far then maybe 20-30 minutes at service station whilst having a coffee. Battery longevity is currently estimated at 15-20 years. Nobody knows about 2nd hand value yet, but I think it's going to be good.

For me the main one is how they drive, silent, very fast and you can't buy ICE performance anywhere near the EV price.

I am not sure how BYD & Volvo dealers would react to "spirited" driving on a test drive. If we get it, the MG4 X Power should be ok, the MG4 it is based on is already a hot hatch with firm (driver appealing) suspension. -

I have an MG Cyberster on order, but if I ordered the Volvo, it would be the colour and spec of your yellow. I think I prefer the BYD Seal performance though, not least because it's better battery chemistry and less utilitarian interior. -
Don't you think it's more likely that increasing use of EV's triggers more green electricity production? Or that the Gov't subsidies on EV's are part of a wider "Green" plan? I do 100%.

Another scam. So sorry, no more licences available because area already well served by hotels (translation..."big important person" with hotel next door doesn't want competition). You open, we fine you. Licence available in 18 months, don't open before then or we fine you, but if you sponsor office party (say 100,000 baht, in cash, no receipt), we can give you licence today.

Why don't you get off the fence and say what you really mean? Meat eating, hamburger loving, non-mask wearing EV lover here. Also, I'm not interested in green or Eco stuff, just plain economics and driving pleasure.
