I am meeting the BYD Sales Guy tomorrow afternoon to try the free charging (instructions only in Thai). It will be interesting to see if I can charge my friends MG4 X-Power for free with my Rever Charger app. I was planning on doing that with the 30,000 baht charging credit they are supposed to be giving me. Interestingly, my Rever Charging app shows I have 1,000 baht credit on there for my previous German EV. I suspect the app is a clone of something like EA Anywhere.

I'm looking for and can't find a sensibly priced ORA Good Cat, I don't agree with you. -
So @Bandersnatch can charge his Seal for free, then go home and plug his MG into it with V2L and charge that for free too. Who needs Solar? Charge your BYD free then run your house from it.

Yawn! Does anyone care? I certainly don't! -
Let's hope he gets the free ABB wallbox with installation. It is capable of running 3 phase or single phase. The installer only has to connect 2 more wires, I fitted my own ABB wallbox, but I only have single phase here. I agree with you that charging at 7Kw is more than enough for almost all the time. The benefit of 22Kw is if your battery isn't full enough for an unexpected journey, you can top up quickly. If I had to buy the wallbox and pay for installation, I would almost certainly go single phase.

The Haval H6 is a good PHEV. -
If you get the free ABB wallbox with free installation from BYD, then I would recommend installing 3 phase if you have it at home. Your seal will only use one phase at upto 7.2kw approx, but you are future proofed. Some cars can charge 3 times faster with 3 phase at up to 22Kw.

The engineers hired by UBS to tear one down disagree with you. -
It's obvious to me that Transam posted this to troll the EVangelista, I took the bait, I won't do so again.

Actually mine is free too, but I don't think Retardius would accept that argument -

My EV costs 330 baht to fill up and will do 580km Compare that with your dreams -
It's very commercialised, acres of tarmac & concrete at the beach, traffic is horrendous and the beach is very dirty. On one of the trips it was raining heavily and the sewage flowed straight into the sea. I did like the hotels and restaurants there though, I had great food. I've stayed in 3 different hotels there, all ok. I like An Bang because it's a network of 2m wide sandy lanes between all the hotels and restaurants. No cars.

Have you ever sought legal advice over the supply of utilities? Break even starts to occur at about 20 baht per unit for an EV. Before that you would probably charge at PTT/Amazon's or somewhere similar. I have a fried who can't charge at home and she does that once a week. I'm guessing that she pays about 9 baht per unit. -

If you have a Tabien Ban and your house was built with a Building Permit, you can request an electric supply from PEA/MEA. The law is quite specific on your rights but a payment may be due to the owner of the roads for access. Seek legal advice, you may not have to pay anything. If there are 5 or more houses there, other laws might apply. -

For sure, the extra weight must have an impact, but they are not noticeable when driving, they are more comfortable, they handle better, they don’t roll in corners like an ice car, but the extra weight must have some impact on economy. I can’t say I’ve noticed any disadvantages because of the weight. Unless you’ve owned one, you wouldn’t understand this. I would guess the secondhand value of my Seal is probably similar to an equivalent Toyota Camry. -
IMHO, both the MG4 and Seal Performance are under tyred. We fixed the MG4 with bigger wheels and bigger tyres and the bigger wheels fixed the Seal. Even do, I will fit larger tyres later.

I don’t know for sure, the they told me at B-Quik where I got them that they were an inch wider. I have the old wheels boxed up in case anyone damages one.
