  1. Toyota use NiMH batteries, they should be stored between 15C and 25C and charged to 40-50% capacity. I doubt you can keep your car that cool and you have no control over the charge level.
  2. I wonder how many BYD Seal Performance's you could get for the same cost? Maybe one for each day of the week?
  3. All too slow, why be part of the problem when you can get a BYD Seal Performance that is far faster and cheaper to run with 8 years warranty, 8 years free servicing, 0-100 in 3.8s, 4WD and 530hp.
  4. I believe that Thai people think if an accessory is made, it must be good! There is no such thing as "bad taste" and the concept of "less is more" doesn't exist. I've had a couple of BMW's but the last one was in the 90's. What impressed me about them was the Chassis.
  5. I think Ford have taken note of Porsche's playbook and realised that grown-up's really do want their cars with all the trashy add-on's that teenagers put on their cars. If I wanted another pickup, this is the one I would go for. In 2013 I changed my Vigo top model for a Ford 3.2 Wildtrak and was amazed at the difference in the drive, it was like getting out of a tractor into a BMW.
  6. A cautionary note for anyone buying any kind of property in a company. Let's assume you have 49% of the shares and you have Thai nominees holding 51%. You cannot leave the property in your will, because you don't own it. It will have to be sold and 51% of the proceeds will go to the Thai nominees and the 49% will be distributed as you wished in your will.
  7. I wonder if we're reading the same article? My translation only mentions Hybrids being Toyota, it doesn't say anything about parts manufacturers turning to hybrids not EV's.
  8. Yes and it says As for the car production line, it must be admitted that it is affected by EVs quite a lot. ... อ่านข่าวต้นฉบับได้ที่ : https://www.prachachat.net/motoring/news-1586856 and Both the export market with lower orders and the domestic market with less sales, especially the internal combustion vehicle segment. ... อ่านข่าวต้นฉบับได้ที่ : https://www.prachachat.net/motoring/news-1586856
  9. I did the update, Wireless Apple Car Play worked first time. There is a bug with it though, I got a phone call, it flashed up on the infotainment screen. When I finished the call, the buttons on the steering wheel for next track, previous track etc were frozen. I couldn't get out of car play, I kept getting error messages "can't do that in a call" I had to stop the car and turn it off and on again to clear it.
  10. I paid 25,000 THB for mine, it is my date of birth in the thailand calendar. It’s in about 3 weeks time, money preferred, no cheap presents please.
  11. You both mention and condemn drunk driving, what about drug driving?
  12. Tinder???? Ate you single? Cheating? Or Swingers?
  13. Never, Ever, let a Thai woman choose the colours!
  14. Speak to your management company. You are not allowed to do anything that changes the external appearance of the building. Looking at the photos, it appears they have given one type of blind approval. If you buy one that doesn't match, they are likely to force you to remove it.
  15. There's no point arguing with these anti-EV people, even when you educate them over their mistakes, they just repeat their baseless opinions somewhere else. Frankly, it's tiresome. I can't count the number of times I've had to refute claims that they catch fire more than ICE cars, or that the batteries are expected to exceed the life of the car, or that they don't depreciate any more than ICE cars, or that they don't cost a fortune to insure. The more substantiated data you throw at them, they still don't believe it and push back further. The sad part is, some people who genuinely want to know about EV's and are perhaps considering one, get poisoned by these people. It's shameful.
  16. There’s another reason why trans male to female can’t compete in women’s sporting events. They have used a banned performance enhancing drug. Actually a hormone called Testosterone.
  17. One of the reasons you should service at the authorized dealer is the little things like greasing the bonnet latch cable. Somchai in his little workshop probably won’t do things like that because he doesn’t work from the manufacturers checklist.
  18. The hoods popping up is nearly always the driver forgetting to close it fully.
  19. All cars have safety latches, but they will release over a bump. Sad to say, I've been there and got the T-shirt.
  20. That statement is true. I am somewhat unconvinced at the relevance of 13 months figures, a baker's dozen months, must be a baker's year....
  21. Nee Naw Nee Naw Nee Naw - spelling police
  22. That doesn't affect the fact we don't know how many vehicles were sold & registered in January. If I were to hazard a guess, I would be comfortable with something like February's figure, but you can't say zero unless you can prove it. It's highly likely some people ordered in December and asked for early January delivery. I have done this many times in my life. Once you start fudging official figures, you have to say why (you've done that), gain a concensus (you don't have that), and post approximate figures, maybe to the nearest 100 or 1,000 but you cant fudge figures down to individual cars.
  23. I am not denying that. But you cannot assume there are no January sales in January registrations. The question is, what is the proportion? We cannot know that, we can only guess, so we have to guess. How do you guess January 2023? January 2025 etc? It's a slippery slope.
  24. Adjusting that figure will destroy the value of the HiSo's Mercedes Benz cars, it would be a very unpopular move.
