  1. I suggest you revisit Badenoch arguing with the Spear, it’s definitely it ‘a normal discussion’.
  2. The point is, Trump dodged the draft while someone else’s kid went to war in his place. Not the stuff a ‘Commander in Chief’ is made of.
  3. Letting ripped memes do your thinking again.
  4. Her performance in the house arguing with the Speaker is an example.
  5. Lots of claims there of who holds what opinions but oddly no sources to back your claims.
  6. What do you think is a reasonable time to pass after which a rapist should be free of any chance of prosecution for their crimes?
  7. I read the OP Brian. Please forgive for drawing different conclusions than yourself. Police responding in force in full riot gear within minutes and invoking Section 14 of the Public Order Act is not by any reasonable definition ‘light policing’.
  8. Righty-o I hear he wasn’t arrested, no breach of the peace occurred, he and his dog a presage and well. A good result.
  9. Because he approached the ‘protestors’ and acted to inflame an already tense situation risking a breach of the peace would be my guess. Again refer common law rights of the Police to move people to avoid a breach of the peace. Meanwhile invoking Section 14 of the Public Order Act and arriving in force within minutes to police the ‘protestors’ with officers kitted out in riot gear. No evidence at all of two tier policing.
  10. Nevertheless my opinion. I understand he wasn’t arrested and no breach of the peace arose. I’m pleased he’s safe and well.
  11. Well done plod. Regardless of any characteristic of the man the police moved on, the Police very clearly acted to keep the peace. I’m sure whoever he was he would like to able to further inflame a dangerous situation from the safety of being behind a line of police officers, the Police were wise not to let that continue. Refer the common law right of police to move people on in order to prevent a breach of the peace.
  12. They refute the Telegraph’s claims on unequal policing. The police response was very clearly swift and effective - well done plod.
  13. In a thread about the newly appointed leader of the Tories… ?
  14. No. They are completely different. But that’s not the statement I was responding to.
  15. I’ve given my evidence, quoted from The Telegraph article.
  16. I’m not sure if you are aware but a duty of the police is to keep the peace. There’s a ‘protest’ which the police are controlling and someone body approaches and confronts the ‘protesters’, the police move him on and I doing so remove a likely confrontation, obviously a reasonable act by the police. … But let me give my view on the ‘protest’. I think the ‘protest’ is actually intimidation of an obviously innocent community. I absolutely support the police invoking Section 14 of the Public Order Act and I would like to see them investigate and prosecute to the full extent of the law those who took part in this ‘protest’ for obvious acts of intimidation and race hate. ….
  17. Clearly the police responded swiftly and decisively. There is no evidence in the police response to this incident that justifies the Telegraph comment I remarked on.
  18. No amount of emojis will make that true.
  19. I’ve said earlier, I think the Tories putting Badenoch at the head of the corpse of their party is great news for Labour and the Lib Dems I’m delighted the Tories have chosen her.
  20. You obviously make assertions without evidence while relying on ripped memes to do your thinking.
  21. Apart from that being a misrepresentation of the facts, are you saying the 2016 polls are now relevant to the 2024 election?
  22. Most folk take their hand out of the family purse and start standing in their own two feet while still teenagers. Middle age man no longer financially supporters by his big brother would be a more fitting headline.
