Why would anyone need to wipe out Russian bases? Russia is sending its military assets into Ukraine where they are legitimate targets without giving any excuse for escalation. Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan are all examples of why Russia will not win the asymmetric war its got itself into. Afghanistan is seemingly an an example the Russians themselves failed to learn from.

Making war on a Russia’s economy is one such method, allied with destroying large parts of Russian military outside of Russia’s borders. Putin is not Russia and Russia is not Putin.

Getting back on topic. It has been demonstrated the Russian Navy ships are defenceless against the Ukrainian’s current arsenal (and the Ukrainians are about to receive more anti-ship weapons). I wonder who it was who got the job of telling Putin?

It was you who claimed posting a picture of the Queen in morning to get at Boris was low, and yet here you are arguing that the fact Russia is committing war crimes and atrocities somehow disallows criticism of the PM for breaking the law and lying through his teeth to Parliament. A bigger question is, with the threat Russia is why hasn’t Johnson recalled Parliament? There is unanimity across all parties for a robust response to Russia, and the very clear fact that the UK giving assistance to Ukraine places the UK in opposition to Russia (for which Putin threatens consequences). It is Parliament’s duty to decide such issues. But of course, once recalled it is also Parliament’s duty to hold the PM to account for his lies to the House. Johnson’s fear of being held to account is preventing him recalling parliament in the face of the most serious threat to peace since WW2.

What’s low about providing an example of self sacrifice from the Queen? She shared the burden of loss with every other person in the UK who lost a loved one during the Pandemic. ‘Low’ is the PM partying and breaking the laws his government put in place while the rest of the nation suffered under those laws. What’s ‘low’ is the PM’s bare faced lies to Parliament when questioned on the matter.

You seem to have missed the news that it is Putin who is hiring mercenaries. As for corruption, did you miss the bit about the Oligarchs or the impact corruption has had on the Russian military? On the upside you managed to sneak your bogeyman enemy in, who as is your custom, you fail to name.

The only person who wanted this war is Putin. It is Putin who gave the orders for the illegal war of aggression. Not everyone chooses to obfuscate the matter.
