Covid is going to be NOT over before you know it. Masking will again be enforced indoors and proof of the new covid omicron variant Ba.4 and Ba.5 booster vax will be required for certain activities. I'll give it 6 to 9 months. I don't like it. But its going to happen.

I own handguns. I shoot IDPA and have been to many ranges with many instructors, and never have I used or even seen a "dummy" round. The gun is either loaded or it's not. Your job is to know which it is. Why would this even happen? This confusion about the round being live or not. Or is the only dummy here the person who shot the instructor.

Why would you get a COVID extension if you where going to leave before your prior tourist visa expires? Remember, COVID extensions (which are not visas) are intended for those unable to travel due to covid. But then you leave before the COVID extension/current tourist visa expires. There are a number of red flags here. Just a theory

It's probably based on your prior history of coming to THA... It might appear to them you are living in Thailand (and doing so with multiple tourist visas and COVID extensions). Your best bet is to come in on 30 day VER (visa exempt), followed by a 30 day extension of stay, and then apply for the proper visa in county based on what you are really try to do (work, study, marry, having Thai children, retirement, etc )

Supplemental COVID insurance forced on you by government mandate is for saps and suckers. Regardless, I can pay my own health care on a cash basis.

The only thing ThailandPass does is enforce an ongoing insurance scam, and last I checked, Thais have never needed to purchase supplemental COVID insurance to enter the kingdom.

The cleanest way is a bank to bank wire transfer. Be aware that if you use WISE, they will sometimes use kbank as an intermediary (you have no control over this) and the transaction will appear in your account as not having coming from overseas, in which case you will need an additional letter from kbank confirming the funds they received came from overseas. This happened to me using my Bangkok Bank account.

You are taking a big risk not to get a preflight PCR test if you are being PCR tested on arrival. I'd rather take some control of my own destiny (giving myself some minimal assurance before I fly), and not leave it all to chance on a PCR test on arrival. Unless you are flying direct to BKK on a sealed route (and are not transiting thought another airport / changing planes) you will need a pre-departure PCR test to board. The airlines, say flying though Japan, will demand it (and the other passengers on your flight not flying with you into BKK will expect it).
