  1. Riding down Suk in Pattaya MB's are across the lanes. Each situation is different. The small roads i live on has heavy car commute traffic. If MB's didn't help out and stay on shoulder as they're doing 25 khp it would be more traumatic.
  2. I don't get the way riders have their feet sort of up high instead of down on floor board. It just seems less stable to me. As far as being irritated the old folks riding MB with side cart early in the morning like they own the road does test my patience. Love the way they just stop and socialize with vendors.
  3. Not many cars drive the posted speed so bunch of dicks around.
  4. A couple more tickets here and I might do the same, just that 90 kph is so tedious and boring. In the US I'm a 80 mph guy on highways. Keep to left just because I figure I'm less of a target for cops.
  5. I've never used cruise control other than just to see if it works. Me, I see it as a safety hazard especially in Thailand. In the US I'm all about passing and getting back in left lane. If keeping your foot on accelerator is too much work? Especially if you're hogging the fast lane. Driving 90 kph would be so boring.
  6. I move over as well, but when I'm passing a line of cars I don't need a truck tailing 1 meter from my bumper. And no I don't do the brake check.
  7. Oh yeah, totally agree. I sometimes wonder if this is some intentional mod or as you say just badly maintained.
  8. Didn't realize they had v6 now, this wasn't a toll road. But, a smaller 2 lane road with crappy inside lane pot holes and slow moving traffic.
  9. Was a time when the Fortuna drivers were the most aggressive. But, now make way for the Ranger owners with the decals on the side and stock oversized wheels. I run 110-120 on long runs. But there's always the Ranger driving crazy fast. Yesterday I saw him coming crazy fast and moved to left as he came up within a few feet of car in front.
  10. I'm not shocked at seeing the speedo swim suits, actually it's quite entertaining.
  11. Kacha is great, thanks
  12. Staying at Kacha, good choice. High season with 2 beds is pricey everywhere. Stayed hillside still 3500 thb
  13. If you're a regular stoner and you stop, weeks can go by and you might still test pos in a urine test.
  14. 4" (10cm) concrete is fine. 15 cm is way overkill.
  15. The one I had built was 3 yrs ago cost 510 thb/M for labor only, and the recent estimate for a 21.5 M shade was 350 THB/M for labor only. Which is even cheaper than what I paid before. Now for the 21.5M job I had one guy quote 2,400thb/M All in for everything. Which is insanely expensive.
  16. No sense worrying about 20M of crappy wood fence. Take the opportunity, tear it all down and build with concrete posts and barbed wire. Come on, it's no big deal. Him coming around and giving orders on construction is another deal. I been there and your first mistake was building next to her family. Been there, done that. If you haven't paid out too much money there's still time to go elsewhere. I did. And I paid out a bit.
  17. Our insulated panels now 3+ yrs are still like new, Open to elements.
  18. You know if it was Trump, those pics would be everywhere. But a biden, and it's buried.
  19. Been 3 + yrs. still like new, the rain storms aren't noticed much because of noise. I never researched anything, but get your point.
  20. If I was paying day rate, I wouldn't think of paying less than 500thb/day. Not for someone with more than 2 braincells.
  21. I had a 7 Mx7 M carport built, using 4x4" steel posts with footing, only 2 posts as otherside attached to house. Labor was 25,000thb and they primed all steel and total cost was 47,000thb. I bought all materials. No cement. I just recently got a labor estimate for a 3x7M shade, 350 thb/sq M. No cement, again I'm using 4x4" steel posts with a footing. Mine has a 7 M span both ways, the less posts you have the easier parking you'll have, 15 M span you can get by with 3 on each side. The good roofing with the inside insulation cost 150thb/M 3 yrs ago.
  22. To be fair if this was a white family, I doubt it would be a story. If it was a white family we'd in all likely hood never hear of it.
