I remember my first time in Dubai, I stayed overnight at the Astoria Hotel before I caught my ship in Jebel Ali. The restaurant and bar was wall to wall hookers. Dubai is awesome, I have been there countless times. If anyone wants to visit the Middle East, Dubai is a great place to start. The Malls are out of this world. I watched Hangover 3 in a theater there. It was great seeing ladies with berkas watching the movie. In the near future I plan on taking my kid to go see Dubai. Would be a fantastic week.

I've been visiting SF for over 40 yrs. Was a fun day trip, get to the wharf early, get some clam chowder and a bud for breakfast. I was there last 2 yrs ago. Don't think I'll bother anymore.

Funny world we live in now where a piece of paper with a few words of wisdom is bad but having Drag Queens doing story hour is a positive thing.

I spend 100% of my SS and monthly pension and reach into the 401K for extras like travel, school fees and presents.

I know drinking alone has a bad rep but I'm comfortable with being alone. Used to be a few guys around who were early drinkers and the bar maid was a good laugh. She's gone, one of the guys died and the other just stopped coming around. For me going to the beach with a few iced beers, a joint, a cigar, float around between beers is a great stress reliever.

A morning buzz is pretty neat. I miss the good times camping in the USA, bailey's and brandy coffee in the morning sitting around a blazing campfire.

The problem with just taking a drive here is I'm not able to enjoy the drive as most of my concentration is on the road and the dangers around. In Calif I'd do the fun drives, here not so much.

I prefer kicking back a few (small) beers early daytime, gives me a nice appetite for lunch and no fog waking up in the morning. It's not a daily routine as sometimes I indulge in the afternoon, sometimes not at all. I won't deny perhaps I need help, but not about drinking beer. Guys in the movies seem to really enjoy hard liquor straight up, I don't see the pleasure. So, I stick with beer and wine.

Was at the beach cracking a beer at 1000, a lady (foreigner) walks by and says "you know its 10 o'clock right?) to which I said yeah, but it's never to late.
