  1. I would suggest Kelloggs' Bran Flakes instead, higher in fibre. Available on Lazada. Bamboo is another excellent source of fibre. On the rare occasions I get stuck, a glass of Forlax or Macrogol moves things along. I steer clear of Senokot, irritates the bowel. I am fairly sure the chili Thais use on nearly everything keeps them regular, because their constant diet of rice should clog them up like a tree root in a drain.
  2. Small Vessel Disease. One of its features is cerebral atrophy, some quite advanced examples on this thread.
  3. Unpasteurized beer will have viable micro-organisms. According to the Chief Chemist of Australia largest brewery, pasteurized beer has a shelf life of 3 months. The taste congeners in beer are totally different to wine. That doesn't say much for the shelf life of unpasteurized beer.
  4. Sorry, I don't know what you are talking about. Is this another conspiracy theory?
  5. IME fresh strawberries keep quite well when refrigerated after coring out the stalks. The Akhas in the CR day markets have the cheapest. Grown in the mountains. Fruit such as pineapple, mango and bananas are too high in carbohydrate and sugar. Corn flakes are pure carbohydrate. As a snack, I prefer pork rinds or bamboo.
  6. Before the widespread adoption of pasteurization, milk was a significant source of diseases like tuberculosis, typhoid fever, scarlet fever, diphtheria, and brucellosis. Pasteurization has been instrumental in drastically reducing the incidence of these illnesses. Pasteurized beer is an oxymoron, given the alcohol in beer has been classified as a #1 carcinogen since 1989.
  7. Malaria killed nearly 600,000 people in 2023. There are two vaccines for it, not fully effective. About 19 countries vaccinate their children, which will no doubt enrage some posters on this thread. They worship at the altar of natural immunity.
  8. Please run that past me again about ad hominem attacks. Hypocrite.
  9. There were 160,000 convicts transported to Australia. 200,000 Britons came of their own free will in the 1800's. We got a million of you with the ten pound Pom scheme. Please keep up.
  10. If we are so backward, why do we get flooded with so many of you?
  11. I recognize all relationships in Thailand are transactional. Your assumption is wrong. You probably don't like my posts because I post facts which conflict with your beliefs and opinions. As if I care whether you think they are not worth reading. I don't know what your degrees are in, but I'll bet they are not in the hard sciences.
  12. Australia had between 30,000 and 40,000 paralytic polio cases between the 1930's and 1960's. Polio deaths peaked in 1951, with 357 fatalities. The last polio epidemic in Australia was in 1956. After that, the Salk and Sabin vaccines effectively knocked the virus out. The last recorded polio case was in 1972, Perhaps you should do some research before posting dumb sh!t.
  13. My genetics for intelligence are quite successful. If what you are posting is any guide, yours are not. Perhaps you consider quantity trumps quality.
  14. It's a figment of DOGE imagination. IME any management consultancy exaggerates its claims of cost savings. Please post a link to ANY site which lists factual data on the number of claimants and the amount of fraud in dollars. All anyone sees is vague assertions with no proof.
  15. "Nobody gives a poop about people's health, they only care about profit" I guess I can include tobacco , liquor and fast food companies in that statement. Vaccines work for me. If they don't for you, I'm happy to let Darwin do the sorting. If you lived,as I did, during a time when the thought of polio terrorized every parent, you would not be making dumb statements about 20 year olds.
  16. Hydrogen bombs leave fallout. Neutron bombs do not. There is nothing new about neutron bombs, they were first invented in 1958 by the US, and successfully tested in 1962. The Soviet Union and France also tested their versions. No doubt China has tested them too. There is no evidence a neutron bomb has ever been deployed in warfare.
  17. There were over 1.2 million COVID deaths in the USA. Many had associated co-morbidities. I really doubt a nation with 40% obesity can be described as healthy.
  18. Obviously they do, otherwise SS and Medicare would not exist.
  19. America is self-sufficient in food and energy. It's the luxuries that are disappearing. American austerity, now there's a thought.
  20. There are reports already of empty shelves at Walmart. What will Americans do, when the more vital stuff such as pharmaceuticals and rare earths made in China disappears? China holds the aces, Trump is trying to win with deuces. Xi knows it.
  21. Keep working, at hours that suit you. Find hobbies. You'll live longer if you don't get fat, and don't drink beer. A good woman is worth dozens of professionals. Up to you.
