American farmers lost heavily in Trump's first presidency. Soybeans, grains, meat, tree nuts and cotton. Boeing has 760 unfilled aircraft orders. Most are from China, who has now halted deliveries. Each aircraft is about $55 million, making a market loss of $40 billion. You think Boeing will survive that? It takes 5-7 years to develop the mine and processing infrastructure for iron ore, which is quite a lot simpler than what's required for rare earths. What are you going to do in the interim? So you think countries exporting rare earths to America are not going to slap an export tax on them, in response to Trump's tariffs? Dream on. IIRC it was Teddy Roosevelt who said when you have them by the balls, their hearts and minds will follow. IMO it's China that has the firmer grip.

As an American, your egregious arrogance is the reason many Australians question whether an ally who cuts and runs from multiple conflicts when a fickle public gets tired is worth having. You lost in Vietnam. You lost in Iraq. You lost in Afghanistan. You are hanging Ukraine out to dry. As an ally, you're not worth p!ssing on. FYI, 5.5% of the Australian population is Chinese. They are probably one of the most law-abiding and hard-working racial groups, but then we don't share your bigotry and racism.

Someone else types your posts for you?

To me, negative emojis are a cop-out. Posters using them are too lazy to argue their case in opposition to what's posted.

Medical studies are based on a test group, and a control group given a placebo. It doesn't take long for statistically significant differences to appear, if the medication or vaccine is effective.

China's manufacturing output is double that of the USA. In terms of domestic demand, the Chinese middle class is bigger than the entire US population. Approximately 70% of economies in the world trade more with China than America. In terms of GDP, the US is bigger. In terms of Purchasing Power Parity ( PPP) China is bigger. I am Australian. China does not apply tariffs to Australia. The US does, despite having a positive trade balance with Australia. I would like an American to explain why we should continue to ally ourselves with the USA, because we certainly are not being treated as one.

For that matter, what stops an Executive Order which restricts payments of SS to those citizens living in the USA?

Kraft foods used to sell smooth and crunchy peanut butter in glasses with a tin lid that were identical to the first photo posted by the OP. I had dozens of them in Oz. About 550 mL volume. I am a fan of businesses who sell their goods in re-useable containers. Here, Oishi Ramen gets my vote for plastic bowls with lids, which can be easily washed, then used to store and microwave food. Henry Ford was a smart businessman. He bought gearboxes from another company, rigidly specifying the dimensions and grade of the timber used in making the packing case. Stripped down, the timber was then used for the floorboards of the T-model Ford.

MAGAs don't seem to see the disconnect between DOGE claiming reduced bureaucracies, and US Customs imposing paperwork which cuts in at $800 instead of $2500. America had a reputation for excellence in logistics. Another example of a private company saying <deleted> it. How is this helping America cut into its public debt and unfunded liabilities?

I want to be a YouTuber !!! Ideas please
Lacessit replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Hang yourself upside down from a chandelier eating grapes fed to you by an obvious ladyboy. That should get some views. -
How do you develop a good perception of a felon, sexual predator, and serial liar who boasts cheating contractors is good business? How do you perform the mental gymnastics which enable you to think tariffs are a good thing which will not increase living costs for Americans, and will not alienate allies? IMO such sophistry is only possible for someone with their head embedded in their ass.

You obviously don't watch any YouTube.

White House just declared war on the COVID conspirators
Lacessit replied to Red Phoenix's topic in Covid/Vaccine
The White House is anti-science. Anyone suggesting bleach is a cure for COVID is an idiot. Same with the science of climate change. Drill baby drill. Pretty short odds if Trump had a melanoma or glioblastoma, he'd be screaming for the best care medical science could provide. -
I have not given enough examples of how America has fallen behind? Fact: Deepseek AI has astounded Silicon Valley with its technology. Fact: BYD is now outselling Teslas. Fact: China is leading in nuclear fusion research.

I prefer anonymity, the plant probably does too.

Statistically, the older one gets, the more probable it is they will develop cancer, due to a combination of factors. The median age for peak diagnosis of cancer is 66. The Baby Boomer generation is now in the mid to late 70's age bracket. Whether individuals survive cancer is dependent on their access to effective treatment. Even then, treatment may not be successful. So when people on ASEAN start screeching about a unproven association between COVID vaccines and cancer, I can only think they are depriving some village of an idiot.

Labor and compliance costs in America are so out of hand it's no surprise manufacturers moved elsewhere. Also no surprise you have illegal immigrants doing work Americans won't. I once did an environmental audit of a plant in California. Every year, the plant manager had to submit reports to 6 different regulatory authorities - Federal EPA, Chino Basin Water Authority, South Coast Air Quality Management District, State EPA, and two others I can't remember. There's no point in complaining when you are crapping in your own nest. Self-inflicted wound.

China can buy Airbus. It's safer than Boeing anyway. China makes BYD electric cars that are cheaper and better quality than Teslas. What makes you think they can't do the same with aircraft? IIRC Americans used to think they made the best cars, then the Japanese showed them how wrong they were. China has 48,000 km of high speed rail. The US has 80 km. QED.

I don't use negative emojis. I prefer staying positive.
