  1. Trump is an appeaser, like Chamberlain before him. He'd rather allow Putin to exterminate Ukrainians than support democracy. He also gave Kim legitimacy. Statesman my aching @rse. TDS is what poorly educated people donating money to a self-proclaimed billionaire have. How much have you contributed?
  2. There's courtroom evidence he micromanages money. I'm not sure how many people he has thrown under the bus. You could start with Rudy Giuliani. He certainly wasn't worried about Melania's feelings when he got it on with Stormy.
  3. A guy who kisses Putin's @rse ( Helsinki ) and exchanges "beautiful" letters with a North Korean doesn't strike me as any kind of statesman. What kind of statesman claims immigrants are poisoning the blood of America?
  4. Even assuming you are correct, those contributions are bleeding out to Trump's legal fees. Every lawyer knows Trump's record of stiffing contractors. I doubt there is a single lawyer working for Trump now who is not getting paid in advance for their services.
  5. Biden has 300 staff across 9 states. Trump has jettisoned RNC staffers, the campaign is basically broke.
  6. The quality lies in the invoices, checks and audio recordings. Daniels and Cohen are simply corroboration of physical evidence. Trump is ready to testify outside the courtroom, in the domain of public opinion. There's no way his lawyers will let him take the witness stand, it would be judicial suicide.
  7. We will see who is crying in their beer in November, won't we? Bear in mind at least half of Trump's campaign contributions have gone in legal fees already.
  8. "Nothing else to stand on?" I guess a stock market at record levels and unemployment at historic lows does not register on your blinkered radar. Nor does policies such as forgiveness of student loans, or assistance to electric car manufacturing in the US. OTOH, Trump's policies are to go after his perceived enemies, take a bribe of $1 billion from fossil fuel producers to neuter renewables, and slash Medicare. How inspirational.
  9. Just as name-calling and argument ad hominem is in the DNA of the MAGA crowd.
  10. An article in The New York Times said that "top political analysts" raised concerns about RealClearPolitics polling averages influenced by polls skewing towards Trump and not adhering to "best practices like person-to-person phone interviews" during the 2020 presidential elections.[24] Cannon responded by noting that RCP's polling average in the election was off by 1.47 points in favor of Democratic candidate Joe Biden across 7 battleground states, compared to 4.87 points in favor of Biden for polling conducted by The New York Times.[25]
  11. The NY Post is a News Corporation offshoot. Everyone knows what side of the fence Murdoch is on. If you expect conservative media to publish any poll favorable to Biden, that's as naive as it gets.
  12. When you have about 20% of REPUBLICAN voters saying they won't cast their votes for Trump, yes it is confusing. Quite apart from the fact for every Trump campaign staffer, Biden has six.
  13. If I could predict the lottery numbers as accurately as you being the the second or third poster on a GG thread, I would become very wealthy.. Who is twisting your arm to respond to him?
  14. It seems to depend on who is doing the polls, and the population they are sampling. There are polls saying Biden has a substantial lead over Trump, who does one believe? IMO Trump's boasting about overturning Roe vs Wade will cost him dearly with women voters. Any conviction recorded against him is also a minus.
  15. You did not say you had retired in your first post. I guess the government had the choice of having fewer vaccinated nurses working with patients, or more nurses, with the unvaccinated ones capable of becoming super spreaders.
  16. Please post any data you have that indicates cannabis is more of a public health hazard than cigarettes or alcohol. I don't have any skin in this discussion, cannabis does nothing for me. Your statement of a "valid opinion" begs the question.
  17. That's what narcissistic sociopaths do. People are objects, to be manipulated. Check out the characteristics of a narcissistic sociopath on Google. Trump ticks nearly every box.
  18. You said you waited a long time for the AZ It was a time when a smorgasbord of vaccines for COVID was not available, the authorities were trying to deal with supply chain problems. My first vaccine was Sinovac, I had it because it was better than nothing, and it was the only vaccine available at the time. Your choice if you did not want to have a mRNA vaccine. However, I can't see how you can justify working with hundreds of patients while unvaccinated.
  19. You just don't get it, do you? To Trump, people are just objects. Money is the only thing he cares deeply about. To Trump, cutting out funding for vaccinations to pander to his ignorant anti-vaxxer base is perfectly logical. Just like offering to stop electric cars in return for a billion dollars from the fossil fuel industry is logical. IIRC, he appointed an oil industry executive as the Secretary of the Environment in 2016. No need to hurry, I had my Moderna booster in March. An annual event, just like a flu shot. Free.
  20. They both work, I have had both. Catching COVID after vaccination is not an indication vaccines don't work. Data which says an unvaccinated COVID patient is six times more likely to need an ICU admission does. I caught COVID after AZ vaccination. Three days of a runny nose and sore throat, finish. Since then, two Pfizer boosters. Have not had COVID since. Sacking you when you work as a nurse, with the potential to infect hundreds of people unvaccinated, seems eminently sensible to me.
  21. I have a Thai will, and an Australian will. The Thai will leaves all assets ( mostly cash ) in Thailand to her. The Australian will leaves all assets there to my son.
  22. It depends on circumstances. I have a steady income from a pension and investments. My Thai GF gets a lump sum in cash when I die, which will have to last her for the rest of her life. Therefore, it is in her best interest for me to live for as long as possible. Rule #1 in Thailand is never put in more money here than you can afford to lose. To answer the OP's question, not much can be done if things go pear-shaped with the relatives of your wife. As a lawyer once told me, money brings out the worst in people.
  23. My wrong assumption, which is why you are so valuable to this community. I had a flu shot in April in Australia, so I am set for this year. My apologies for incorrect information.
  24. Motorcycle insurance will cover the first 30,000 baht of medical expenses. With a government hospital, that covers quite a lot. Unless the rider had no insurance/registration. The OP states the rider seemed unharmed, although an ambulance was called. The OP does need a translator at the police station. Sign nothing, admit nothing. Demand a medical report on the allegedly injured person. I suspect an attempt at a shakedown.
  25. “Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.”
