Green needs time to develop, he could be a match-winner like Stokes as an all-rounder. Green Is 24, Neser is 33. He does better in the shorter game forms. Nothing wrong with Green as a fielder.

I doubt it, when they were practicing against guys like Starc, Cummins and Hazlewood in the nets. Admittedly having Joffra Archer alongside Wood is an attack to be reckoned with. The English side has been carrying Jimmy Anderson. I could equally argue Nathan Lyon's injury during the Second Test deprived Australia of one of the world's best spinners for the next two Tests. Jeff Thomson was the bowler who really petrified batsmen. His ability to get a ball to rear up off a full length was fearsome.

Effectively, what you are saying is the cards issued to farangs are really debit cards. Which are common in Western countries. I had an Amex card once, and got tired of tracking what I was doing so I could claim rewards, and avoid interest charges. At least with a debit card, I was spending my own money, and not someone else's that I would have to repay.

Is that a baby angora, or a dog?

IIRC the Toyota Prius was the first hybrid. Claims made for their fuel economy over a full ICE are somewhat exaggerated. It did give comfort to the virtue signallers, however.

I have never had a problem with acknowledging the advantages of EV's, such as running costs, noise, and environmental sustainability IF recharged from renewable energy. Range anxiety is a problem. If one runs out of electrons on the road, a jerrycan of gasoline won't fix it, and a diesel generator (ironic) brought to the site will be sloooow. It costs very little to fix a leaking petrol tank. I've done it with plain soap and water. OTOH, an EV battery with any kind of malfunction requires specialist attention. The other aspect is time to charge. There is one charging station on the 118 going out of Chiang Mai. Among 9 gasoline pumps. If one or two cars are there before you, it's a long wait. BTW, the adjective you want is "moot". Mute means silent, which is an attribute I have not observed in you.

There are lies, damned lies, and statistics. Batteries are stored energy, just as a gasoline tank is. While it may be true EV's have less fires than ICE's, the statistics could well have a different look if one started analysing the frequency of fires in the BYD brand alone. EV's with some are virtue signalling, which is BS when the electricity to recharge them comes from fossil fuel power stations. It's the people who refuse to acknowledge EV's have some disadvantages, which ICE's don't have, who are the ones with closed minds.

As Pat Cummins said, an anticlimax. The Poms should not whinge about their weather having saved Australia from defeat, the same weather has saved their bacon multiple times.

I have always been content to buy secondhand, or equipment that has proven its reliability. Others can be the lab rats for new stuff.

What I don't understand is how used car values can hold up very well under obvious oversupply. Every car yard I see in CM or CR is full of unsold vehicles.

I don't worry too much about oils, they are mostly esters of unsaturated fatty acids. There's a lot of argument in academic circles about the merits or demerits of each. I use canola, olive and sesame oils in cooking. IIRC there was a scandal years ago about adulteration of Spanish olive oil. OTOH, I don't eat anything with trans fats, which is in quite a few margarines.

The Canadians presumably would be chopping into softwoods such as cypress and pine. The guys in the video are cutting into eucalyptus hardwood. The axe blades are as sharp as razors. I remember an accident at Rutherglen, when a competitor lost his grip on the handle. It flew into the spectators, and severed the arm of a woman. I understand the Issan lassies in Pattaya are a bit heftier than the Thai norm, I'll stick with my 40-42 kg GF as far as any carrying goes.

I must admit Kiwis ( New Zealanders ) are actually better shearers than Aussies. Some years ago, I watched a shearing competition at Omarama, in the middle of the South Island of NZ. The shearers were using hand shears, not powered machine shears. They were nearly as fast as the latter. One Aussie sport, which may not get much exposure elsewhere, is wood-chopping. Start the video at 4 minutes.

Easily explained, Owl. Australia has truckloads of sunshine and outdoor activity. OTOH, most of the chess champions come from cold climates, where the inhabitants have to stay indoors, or freeze their nuts off.

AN Original Trump wants to execute people who engage in human trafficking.
Lacessit replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Trump is the most dangerous threat to democracy in America since the days of McCarthyism. He strums the same chords of bigotry, with racism thrown in. He would love to be a dictator like Xi, Putin, Kim. He is on record as admiring Hitler. Maybe you don't understand that, fortunately the majority of Americans do. -

You'd rather a dictatorship? Trump didn't make it, but there's always China, Russia and North Korea awaiting you if you don't want to live in a democracy. -

Amazing Trump still has defenders after everything he has done before, during and after his presidency. -
54 was the average life span in Russia in 1950, due to rampant alcoholism. It has now improved to about 72 years. I was reading recently life expectancy is quite strongly correlated to IQ, based on a study commenced in 1932 with young students somewhere in the UK, and followed up 50 years later. The study concluded the smarter you are, the longer you will live, on average. Of course, there will always be outliers. This may be uncomfortable information for some ASEAN posters.

As I understand it, the problem with veganism is getting enough protein. Humans were hunters before they developed crops. My son and his wife were vegans for about a decade. They went back to eating meat when they found they were becoming anemic. Soy is a very common source of protein for vegans. It is also rich in phytoestrogens, which are endocrine disruptors.

Ingesting plastics of any kind is not a good idea, because of the additives in them. Some may even alter gender, have you gone from baritone to soprano recently?

Buying a used car from a car tent

You should not complain, she will be driving you around when you no longer can. That's my plan with my GF, anyway. You may be right about everything being CVT, although apparently Mazda has stuck with the torque converter auto gearbox, even in 2023 models. I like the gearbox, because it can be switched to manual mode.
