I thought airmail was not in operation at this time? When I went to ask at the post office in Bangkok they said only overland mail is available and no airmail due to coronavirus.

We've delayed our UK trip until next year. I will wait for a vaccine before traveling out of the country or a positive anti body test would help in the meantime.

Regardless of who says what, if you want to not get covid 19 the only way is to stay home and continue social distancing until s vaccine arrives.

I need to travel outside of Thailand also but I am unable to if I wish to return even with a non o because my health insurance cover is only 20k not 100k plus I wouldn’t want to pay to quarantine in a hotel when I have a family home in Thailand to goto.

You are played with because you are a temporary Non o 'tourist' like most of us.
After 20 years in Thailand, married with kids and business you can be turned away if one month you earn less than 45k baht.
After 30 years with grandchildren you can be kicked out unless you keep on earning the same.
After 40 years at 70+ years old and most of life giving in Thailand, unless you have saved a lot of income over the years or you are still earning and not sick, you could be turned away for not meeting the income level at an old age with no where else to go because you thought you had built a life in Thailand.
It doesn't matter how much you give, how long you live here, you are still a temporary tourist unless you are one of the lucky few each year who can pass a residency test. Its not a home for a family unless you are a very wealthy family. (And a middle class western salary isn't enough to be sure - you need to be Wealthy). We should always plan that way when living under a regime like the one governing this present day.

The hotel isolation and associated mandatory costs have 'SCAM' written all over it..
If the wife and I were outside Thailand and we returned now, we have our own home to go to self isolate if required. Why would we want to pay 100k for the privilege.
