maybe because great idea's are 2 a penny? it's the execution that counts ????

my fav investments right now (based on my own and friend's recent experiences):

multi-family dwellings (apartment blocks) - standard 5K/month jobs, 10+ rooms, easy to run & hold their value

land (on the outskirts of major cities, bought from grannies in mom and pop stores!) - longer term play but LOTS of bargains around, stick pineapples, mangoes on them for some yearly income too

      SET - at 1300 i'm liking it

Do you mean like the building that just almost collapsed in bangkok?

  2. I was told that directors of companies whether thai or non thai, are not eligible for social security healthcare.

i paid social fund for 5 thais working in my company but i wasn't allowed to pay in myself.

you might have been grandfathered into the system, the lump sum payment is a payoff. It makes sense that if you opt out and take the payoff you no longer qualify for social healthcare.

I think about this as Im mid 50s now. Really never expected to be in Thailand this long.

An aquaintence of mine died alone in his room a few years back and I wonder about his last moments.

At the end of the day we all will pass alone whether someone else is in the same room or not is irrelevant. We all eventually still pass alone and go back to the light!

With that said I often wonder what would happen (at any age) if i fell down the steps and my wife was away for a few days visiting her relatives. I could be stuck for days or dead.

Remember the emergency services number is 191 I think?

    ..sorry about your number plate.

Although Im intrigued, what does Transam actually stand for?

    Is it the Trans-am automobile?

    ..short for transmission maybe?

..or is it about a ladyboy called Sam?

    Clarification requested please?

There is a far worse and insidious disease going around than Covid-19.

It doesn't have a name yet, but, symptoms include:-

    Denying science.

    Promotion of conspiracy theories.

Making false equivalencies (flu vs covid).

Denying the efficacy of proven methods of fighting the virus (masks, distancing, testing and tracing).

It seems to degrade the ability of people it infects to critical thinking and it may just lower IQ.

It seems to be spreading fast judging by the posts on this forum.

I think you refer to social media BS disease

I had a testosterone level test 2 years ago at St Louis Hospital.  You register and make an appointment with a Urologist. After a consultation, he will give you an order for the test. You go back to registration and they order the test and then your blood is drawn at the lab. This test is done by an outside lab and I received the results by mail in about 5 days. Total cost was around 1500 baht.

Did that include SHBG and free t calculation or only total testosterone?

I can get the total testosterone done for 400baht at a clinic without needing to pay to see a urologist.
