I agree but these days 'pea brained tough guy syndrome' is very rare. What's common these days are the loser, no hoper, snowflake type that pulls out a knife. The type that get offended by comments on social media, real weirdos. This morning I farewelled my girlfriend, she caught the bus to Isaan. So, I was a little sad, I rode my PCX down to Jomtien Beach, stopped at the little Thai shop that ALWAYS sells beer (on Buddha days you are given a black plastic bag) and bought a long neck. I had a nice elderly guy pull me up (he noticed the black plastic bag) for a chat. What a nice guy, we chatted about the ban and both agreed how lucky we were to drink our cold beer when we feel the need. The bans are just a slight obstacle for us that have been here for ages.

It's weird. I had a working visa for the UK in my 20's, travelled around US, UK and Europe, ended up in Thailand and Bali, always had insurance. I was always on a budget. I suppose it's the same people who own a car or house, don't have it insured, I could never do that. Probably the GoFundMe pages that encourage this behaviour.
