Me I'm a busy guy, big family and good friends, enjoying my life, not sitting behind a computer wasting away. I'm sure you keep yourself busy replying to all of the 'WUM' comments on AN forums. I hope you have time to get outside through the day for some exercise and fresh air. His first reply to my comment was about being an Alien,as you say it was a WUM. Think about it, the guy has issues, he's clearly bitter and annoyed.

Aaaah, you have an issue with immigration. I have no issues with how Thailand manage their foreigners/expats that are living here. Only issue I have is there are too many whinging and whining foreigners trying to change Thailand, demanding this and that. Leave it alone, it works for me. If you are not happy being an 'alien' you are free to leave, no one is stopping you or forcing you to stay.

It's the luck of the draw. I'd say renting is the luck of the draw. Heard some horrible stories regarding landlords etc.

I bought most of my Thai properties of the plan. I have not had any issues or regrets.

This is what I was always told !!! RENT !!! NEVER BUY !!! unless the money invested is unimportant and ready to be lost !!! I understand people who have no money, no other options, they always make excuses not to buy. I live in a gated community, close to town. I bought my first house 2001, second house a couple of years later, me and my family have been living in this house ever since (renting out the first house). I've calculated, rents and renovations etc. I'm way ahead, house price has increased, so have rents over the last 2 decades. I'd hate to think how many times me and my family would have had to relocate over the many years (landlord issues etc.) plus I've got the house exactly how I want it.

Agree, sadly some members are here to waffle and make stuff up, replying with their perhaps and maybe's And it doesn't take long to get off topic, all the reply comments discussing processes and ease of changing people's names

What are you talking about, I learnt a few things from this thread, a dangerous road to avoid etc, I've also had a few laughs reading the many Aunty Audrey and Nana Beryl comments regarding how the accident occurred.
