Let's talk about depression
Lots of stories regarding Aussie workers demanding hundreds of thousands of dollars annual salaries. https://www.news.com.au/finance/work/at-work/city-held-hostage-as-tradies-demand-240k-salary/news-story/ab39e7a1a7f9ee892d2c6a4e3b295c30 https://www.theage.com.au/national/victoria/west-gate-tunnel-workers-reach-pay-deal-300k-a-year-20210610-p57zu8.html

Honda civic 2.0 engine swap Chiang mai
You'll need to take it to the DLT, the local inspection stations can't update blue book, it's got to go for a full pit inspection. Reading the comments on this thread makes me feel very uncomfortable. Why would grown men want to go down this path, in Thailand? OMG, I'm shocked. This job I would attempt in my youth, only because I had very little money. These days I upgrade new vehicles every 5 or so years, thank God.

Honda civic 2.0 engine swap Chiang mai
You're making your life difficult. After swapping out engines you'll need to have the car inspected at the DLT, get engine numbers updated in blue book. Sell your car and buy another car.

Where do foreigners fit in the Thai hierarchy?
You're thinking tooooo much. Don't worry about things that you can't control. You say that you have ample funds available, just let your hair down, enjoy the outdoors, the fantastic weather, affordable pricing, the smiling faces from all the beautiful happy Thai's. Life's too short, you got to make the most out of your short stay on planet earth. All your negativity over the many months I've read will affect your health which will shorten you life. DON'T WORRY, BE HAPPY. 😊😊😊😊😊

Bloody good salary in Australia. Minimum wage is through the roof, working conditions are high standard, many rest schedules, coffee and lunch breaks etc., it's why Australia can't compete with industry, too expensive for manufactured goods. We lost our car manufacturering industry because the unions demanding high wages, shorter working weeks etc. very sad we lost our Holden's 😕 You don't even need a Tertiary education to make a good wage, it's near impossible to get fired. It makes sense to work in Australia for a few months of the year then travel to Thailand for a long holiday. If I remember the OP owns property in Sydney, minimum house price is $1,000,000, I reckon the OP would be the envy of some here. If I wasn't working on offshore drilling rigs around the world I'd be jealous.

Man high on marijuana crashes car, cuddles pets & smiles at cops
It seems strange not being a Thai national that his Hong Kong nationality was not given in the headlines. I'm sure if he was British or Swede etc it would have been noted. After reading the article headline I assumed he would be Thai.

Yes, they were also my thoughts, thanks.

Whats the legal age of consent in Thailand. Its confusing.
Why are you asking personal questions? Anyway, when I was 21yo I had a 17yo gf. I would be breaking the law. Girls mature at a much younger age to boys, my gf would always tell me that boys her age act like children.

Could you recommend which city is better for freelancers to live in: BKK or Chiang Mai?
I don't care, it doesn't bother me. I'm always courteous, replying swiftly. 😎

Lack of impulse control
It's immaturity, sometimes it's due to poor parenting. You see these failures regularly on AN threads, some members instantly, without hesitation reply with hostility and anger always nasty, abusive replies.

All the freelance girls I meet on Soi Buakhou prefer to live in Pattaya.

Healthy and sustainable diet? - Heres How !
I reckon why most expats have a weight problem in Thailand is boredom. You can see it looking through the AN threads, some guys are glued to the screen. You got to get out, exercise daily. Choose healthy foods only, you got to condition your body to only eat healthy. I like the occasional mars bar but get nauseous looking at all you can eat buffets etc. I can't even eat a 99 baht breakfast on Soi Buakhou, I can't stomach that crap.
