I worked with Thai's, they were university educated, all were my friends, had a few very good Thai male friends. It's quite easy to befriend them, wonderful, fun people to be around. Workplace is where you'll meet the educated, English speaking Thai's. My co-workers were from all over Thailand, we worked out of Songkla, I looked forward ever other month to seeing them, we regularly had safety training together and social events together. A few of the guys come down to Pattaya and we catch up occasionally.

I've lived and worked in Thailand and Vietnam. I find both Thai's and Vietnamese people are generally warm and hospitable.

Public Nudity: Would you like to see more of it?
SAFETY FIRST replied to GammaGlobulin's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Nope, it would just encourage the elderly, obese foreigners (men and women) to take their clothes off. I've been seeing a lot of Russian elderly women walking around half naked by the condo swimming pool, it's not a pleasant sight. You are a dreamer, living in fantasy land if you think it would bring out naked beautiful babes if it was allowed. -
Why, do you want to ban me? You need to get a hobby. I go away for a few hours and I see more new postings from B.S. Why don't you try your luck as a foreign police volunteer. You want authority but I see most members giving it to you.

I see it regularly, it has an open roof. I noticed the tourists like top open roof viewing, little too hot for me.

Thai doctor in Swiss expat case says she has ‘stress’
SAFETY FIRST replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
I can understand, that horrible, nasty Swiss guy (elephant man), kicking her in the back and yelling at like a mad man would have traumatised her, she probably suffered from shock. -
Buying gold at a gold shop
SAFETY FIRST replied to watgate's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Where are you located? I've bought a lot of gold from gold shops in Pattaya, if you are local I can suggest a couple of shops. -
British man dies after bathroom fall at Chon Buri residence
SAFETY FIRST replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Its also the name of the province. Looks like a confusion between chonburi town and chonburi province No, the article is correct. Huay Yai is only a kilometre or so from the coast, a coastal city of Chonburi. The above member that made the comment is just talking nonsense, he's probably never been to Pattaya or even Thailand. -
Please, next time just say good morning, that's what I do, most times they give you a nice smile and a wave. Thai's are very nice people, I've travelled to over 40 countries, the Thai's are the best. Try to get along, you'll find your days will be much more enjoyable. The guy may have personal issues, family problems, he doesn't need you telling him what to do.

He's outside, not on your property and you asked him to move. Sure, he's leaning against your gate but your gate boarders your property and common property. Why don't you get back on the plane, go back to where you came from and be happy with all the other miserable people. You are lucky he only swore at you, he may come back with a gun. Acting in your hostile ways is putting your family in danger.

We've had a couple of members here on AN recently posting about overstay, expired passport, not wanting to return to Thailand and wanting information how to exit Thailand. -

UK and Thailand to boost scientific research and English proficiency
SAFETY FIRST replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Should get the Aussies involved if you want Thai's to improve their English language. Aussie lingo, easy to learn. I have a different meaning for 'Chock a Block', it usually involves my girlfriend. BTW, there's quite a few members here that 'waffle on' at times. ^^^^^^^ comes to mind. 🤔 -
I used go to Subic Bay occasionally for training, mostly staying at the Courtyard Hotel, not too far from the casino. I like Subic but wouldn't like to live there, very different to where I live (Pattaya). I reckon living in Subic would become quite boring at times. It's nice to live by the water, I've lived not far away from the sea all my life, I'm even closer when I go to work (offshore rig). Sadly, Subic doesn't have much in the way of places to visit, entertainment and the roads are not well kept. Those gogo bars have beautiful girls but they seems to be very different from Thailand's gogo's. Subic is a small region, have you seen Travis videos, Aussie guy having fun in the Philippines. Try travelling. https://www.facebook.com/travisfeinphilippines?mibextid=ZbWKwL
