  1. I think getting a visa or extension of stay whereby you have to go through 14 stages in a marriage extension and make trips to the bank, to a passport photo shop, to the Amphur for a new Kor Ror 22 and finally taking two copies of everything to Immigration, and dragging my wife along to sign 50+ sheets of paper every year is more than enough to prove my status.
  2. U screwed up with the numerals, they should be upper case, and U used lower case........ U know these Thai programmers, they ain't stupid.
  3. As they were so near to the toilets, beating the <deleted> outta him would have been appropiate.
  4. I am just thinking how patient I need to be, given the latest panic over Omicron covid and lockdowns and what not, should I just keep waiting or try another phone just to check the process is happening?
  5. I use Discord on another application that I use from time to time, and there are some serious dick heads there, just as I see the same on this forum. Social media has a lot to answer for.
  6. My mate has the CB300F, and it's exhaust looks like a chimney stack.
  7. The Forza 750 looks ok to me, fed up with entry level sport bikes that don't perform. As much as I like Honda, their exhausts on virtually all their bikes suck, big time.
  8. google dlt thailand, all the requirements are listed there. No need for an agent, it's a very simple process. First one is 2 years, after that 5 years.
  9. I am small fry as far as my bank is concerned, I deal in thousands, not 100's of 1000's or millions, which is why I am so annoyed at all this nonsense I have to put up with. That is the true essence of my original post.
  10. Why is it so heavy? I used to have 750 v twin Kawi that was 225 KGs, so 180 for a 250 is ridiculous.
  11. Thats the most sensible post so far, thanks. I looked at mytello, but it appears u need to set up an account with credit, which I cannot do as I don't have access to my bank account. Sorry if I didn't mention that earlier.
  12. same here, I was in the UK for a visa 5 years or so ago, and went into a HSBC branch in Cardiff to get the money for visa and you wouldn't believe how difficult it was. I did get the money but only by the skin of my teeth. So much security nonsense.
  13. I totally forgot about the cheap international calls, for Dtac is 00400 at 6 or 7 baht a minute, so that will make a huge difference. At the time I so distraught over this HSBC mess I wasn't thinking right. Just threw a couple of 500's on the phone and dialled.
  14. Why would your UK bank need to task HSBC to transfer, why can't they do it directly to your Thai Bank?
  15. My guy was working from home in Manila, he was hard to understand, but I think that was what he said.
  16. I am beginning to doubt my two phone calls costing nearly 1000 baht have achieved anything.
  17. This is what you said earlier. If only I know that number, then how on earth can you verify it?
  18. Any problems DrJack45 is here to help, albeit with a smattering of sarcasm.
  19. I am sorry but I am confused, the last thing this help desk guy said to me was they can post it to me, and I complained how long that would take, or I can go to a HSBC branch, which of course in Thailand is 900 kilometres away in Bangkok, so when I said email it, he said they can't, so I opted for post. If that isn't the case and I have to create one then what are they sending me, if anything?
  20. In one question in a Mensa test they speak 6 numbers that you then have to recall backwards. I could always do that, but 7 or more numbers forwards or backwards I think I would struggle.
