about 9 months ago we were driving along saw this old guy ,who had was obviously a tree cutter ,and we needed 3 cutting ,came straight to our house cut them all ,charged very little and his son came in another pickup and they took everything away ,,sorry dont know his name ,but he   wrote his tel no in our book its 0915837473 ,it may be 0915837483 sorry thats all i have ,my wife spoke to him ,but he did a lovely job and as i said very cheap ,i think about 1000 baht ,when i think when we were living in the UK and had to get someone to cut about 6 ft of the top of a tree  and he charged 150 quid ,i was very pleased????

The new dual price structure was due to start operating last Semptember. No idea, having not been to a hospital since, whether it's actually been implemented.

 

Hope none of us have to find out the hard way!

 

So far ,i have not been charged more ,i use Queen Sirakit at Satahip,every 6 months for my eye exams ,has not gone up from 900 baht for 6 years,also i was at Pattaya govt hospital ,ecg ,chest x ray and blood tests ,,1500 baht  about 3 months ago .

Greta is dancing with delight ,mind you walking around the world to each protest is going to take her years.

Well Britman ,shame we never met up ,when i was young i went to a public school ,never did a job that included manual labour ,and much of the time worked for myself ,my wifes family own condo blocks in Bangkok and live in rather nice homes there and up north ,the wife is educated and although she no longer works ,was in business,thats how i met her(no not the bar business????) our son now runs a company albeit not a very large one.

many of my friends also are not married to ex bar girls ,although one who is has been married to her for more than 30yrs is still going strong .always think my friend ,never generalize.

We are so lucky that our son started his school life in the UK then went to a good private school here in Thailand ,the fact he speaks perfect English has helped in his career so much , judging by his salary ,he is very highly paid compared with most workers listed on here.his girlfriend also earns good money ,mind you unlike him she spends it like water .

A big ego ,well its not the only big thing i have???? if you dont trust your wife ,sorry for that ,take out a 30 yr lease from her ,sorted. All my friend have houses ,except a couple who have Very ,Very large condos(which i could not afford) when i see the boxes they are building these days it amazes me how people can live in such a small space ,anyway the wife loves to potter in the garden.

UK TV is just as difficult to understand as US series. I need to use my headset often when viewing some of the series like "Vera" and "Shetland" and many others I have seen

lots of tv series are like this these days ,the time when actors spoke properly have gone ,now half the time they seem to mumble the words ,i find i need subs and my hearing is great.

you are joking ,my old company had reps cars that had done 250000 miles on the same engine ,all serviced regularly.

Buy a house ,much better ,trouble is you need a wife you trust ???? luckily i do ,most of the condos i have been in (its a lot) the wife was in the business are so blooming small ,they are not the size of our bedroom .That is unless you have a lot of money spare ,to buy a large condo , like my wife]s friend and her husband , he has a "bigun" to.????

Its not uncommon ,most of the Nice Condoes my wife]s family own are lived in by Thai people and they are immaculate,but as in all country]s there are those who live in Sh_t and those who don]t ,you only have to wonder around areas where there are lots of "cheap housing" there will be those that are clean ,neat with flowers outside and those that look awful ,yet the people living there are in the same social class.
