No offence at all, I find it very educational to see how other people think, actually.  I didn't renounce my American Citizenship to get anyone's aproval anyway.  I did it first and foremost because I refuse to share my loyalty with any another nation other than Thailand.  I have always said I would renounce my American Citizenship once I got my Thai citizenship, I kept my word.  I'm very proud of what I did and I am extremely proud to be Thai.

    You are NOT Thai.

    Do you understand that?

    A true Thai trait indeed.

But a true American trait as well.

The quality is personified in their (our) president.

The difference being the fact that when the Yankees showboat, the world feels it.

Please stop comparing a backward inconsequential country with a historical global power.

It's sickening to even mention Thailand and America in the same sentence.

Doesn't need a so-called (Thai) 'expert' to point this out, it's been known for some time.

    In the civilised world.

    Agree.

All they do here is regurgitate information from other places in the world.

They pretend that they are the experts and 90% of Thais who get almost all their information from Thai based sources typically will believe that they have bonafide local experts.

Of course, they almost never cite from what foreign resources they are regurgitating information.

True, mainland China was treated as the origin, regardless of the originating airport. Anyhow the basic idea is the same: DMK is riskier than BKK. Probably because of a lot of cheaper flights going there.

Thailand is also identified as a major spreader for allowing Chinese during the early stages of outbreak to avoid travel bans by taking allowing them to use Thai airports onto destinations which had banned them.

The saddest thing about this whole story is the confirmation of whole rotten to the core the whole system is.

FF has been touted as the new guiding light in Thai politics, somehow heralding a new beginning, a belief held by a lot of the young, as well as the expats observing the event.

Yet when push comes to shove, the pigs always head to the troff.

For the people that actually 'thought' they were voting for something different, bit of a gut punch.

At the end of the day, same old, same old!

I don't think Thailand can change, at least not in my lifetime!

I kept telling people on the forums that FF was probably nothing more than the latest Thai scam.

They are experts at saying all the right things. But what so many well-meaning expats fail to understand is that they are all influenced and bound by Thai culture and common national characteristics.

They are Thai first and politicians later.

+1. Whats wrong with all these extreme sarcastic and cynical ppl. It seems they are just waiting and hoping and praying for the worst for Thailand.

Until now Thailand has extreme low numbers, other WESTERN countries are having more numbers. Facts say Thailand is doing a good job in a very difficult situation.

It is time ppl who spread unfounded rumors should get a warning, temporary bann, and for all i care a home visit by Thai police.

A clear reminder that not all us Farang are smarter than average locals
