  1. Another daily reminder to show how bad the drivers are here......
  2. Ban it all you like, it won't stop Teachers handing out all kinds of punishments.
  3. As Immigration are front line on collecting this tax, don't worry folks, us 'individuals', will now be paying a 100b fee for our 90day reports as KOH CHANG IMMIGRATION has now implemented, so they will get it one way or another, will those tourists paying the 'tax' get a receipt to say they have paid it, unlike that mob on Koh Chang.
  4. I have heard that the bigger taxis at the airport can charge 20b for 'large' luggage I am not trying to discredit drivers, the OP said there was an extra 20b on the meter, I simply tried to explain why that could be. So please stop talking Nonsense and rubbish, you seem to do that often.
  5. I not sure what you mean by more crap, I presume if I go over to Trat IO it will still be 1,900b as it has always been, they are using the price of the ferry to somehow justify their extra 'fees' . It makes no difference to me going to Trat as That is where I must go for my bank now anyway, since they closed their branch on KC. What can they do anyway if I refuse the extorsion charge anyway, yes they may make life difficult, but they could hardly arrest me, what would the charge be, failing to pay an extra charge without getting a receipt ?
  6. Couldn't find them on line from my normal shopping sights, ( and of course no shipping fee) sorry I can't remember how much but as I hadn't seen them for 2 years I brought 2 packs and ate near 1/2 a packet for my lunch. .........
  7. On the upside Macvitie's ginger nuts are back in my Big C , Weetabix, and Original Branston Pickle is back on line.
  8. Now the 'Service point' sub-immigration office on KOH CHANG want 1 hundred baht 'service' fee no receipt even if you do them on time, I refused to pay without a receipt, and 'eventually' drove away, with my slip stapled in my passport without paying, they told me well it's either pay us the fee or take the ferry to Trat. I have a thread running on the situation there, oh and they want 2,300-2400 Baht to make an extension renewal.
  9. I was once 2 weeks late, handed over 2k, passport came back with new slip, and 1K back in the passport.
  10. I just go out as I am, it's enough to scare anybody.....................
  11. Some will charge a 20b 'luggage fee'...........
  12. My local D-Save delivers, had 2 boxes of beer delivered today......most bars get it delivered also, but of course that depends on what you want, don't expect any specialist drinks.
  13. Sound like another case of drinking Lao Khao.
  14. Time to give serious jail time for gun possession.
  15. They seem to find dead babies almost every other day, and dead Adults.......
  16. That amount is not to be sniffed at..................
  17. Don't worry, I will pay his bail, once my Nigerian Princess has sent me her gold, and I've paid for it to be cleared by customs.
  18. Another shining example of Thai driving. I was unaware the compulsory insurance is paid to an insurance company, I always thought that was a government thing, and of course it has been paid unless the vehicle was not taxed, they are both paid together.
  19. Go to the immigration office on KOH CHANG and they now want 100b for a 90day report, and 2,300-2400b to make an extension. It's a new franchise just recently opened.
  20. At 73 married to a Thai, with 'our' own house and land, not many options left for me, to avoid a corrupt immigration office, I'd rather pay the ferryman. I'd still like to hear of ANY ex-pat that has had to pay for a 90 day report or 2,400 baht for an extension ! so that would be 2,700-2,800 a year.
  21. Well it's not really external is it, that's why I have never seen it.
  22. It was a bit late for that as they didn't ask for the money until after it had been stapled, into my Passport.
  23. Well what a big difference in price 'Genuine Nissan' 299b......Non genuine Same Part Number just 79b complete with O ring. (of course Nissan do not make filters, just their logo on the box)
  24. Well what a big difference in price 'Genuine Nissan' 299b......Non genuine Same Part Number just 39b. (of course Nissan do not make filters, just their logo on the box)
  25. Well thanks for that but I did say as far as know, but I have just checked and my Nissan juke does have the same filter, Obviously the Nissan dealers I have been to, have never changed one as I have never been charged for it. The only time I go to Nissan is for oil changes as it's logged on their computer. I will now check on Lazada and buy a couple of them, as I do with air and cabin filters at the tenth of the price from Nissan.
