  1. you can make a complain to police, but as mentioned what they will do is the question or when you will hear from it again. But you might surprised and they can solve the problem. I think its also important where this guy lives. in thailand or outside.

  2. he cannot film your personal space

also he cannot film any classes without a permission from the teacher and you guys.

many people think its legal to film in public areas. Yes, it is actually BUT if you film directly or knowingly a place near the public area its actually illegal.

for example you can film a public area near the police station but if your film is 30min and the police station with details of the building is 25 of this 30 min, thats illegal. because obviously you are not fliming public area but the station. there is probably no punishment but its normal if the cops start questioning you.

so your class is the same thing. Actually if its open yes, he can film but not you guys all the time. Obviously not you and your personal space.

  3. i know someone selling lottery tickets and also that famous illegal lottery numbers.

she told me when she goes to buy the tickets from the thai office, they charge them regarding to numbers. As you know numbers are important in thailand. Also she told me she really goes there early to get good numbers so she can sell. Numbers starts from 20-40 baht for the guys who sell lottery tickets. Its not common but sometimes 60 baht. So the LEGAL selling price to a buyer is yes 80 baht. When the general came to rule he said it will be under serious control. Well actually it was true for a year. Then of course sellers found a way. They stop selling 1 ticket and started to sell set tickets which are like 5-7 of them the same number. And when you ask for 1 they say they cannot break the set for 1 ticket. if break its 100 baht.. lol another lie of course. they can break the set. these set tickets are around 500-1000 baht.

then as usual in thailand these ticket controls suddenly stopped. Now they get back to normal selling both  ticket and set. 1 ticket is now 100.

i remember i met some sellers tried to sell me 120 baht just before the covid. They buy it for 40-60 baht and sell for 100 baht instead of 80

Besides his divorce certificate, is there any other proof for a right to marry... I have told him to get it translated to Thai.

    hi,

i think he needs to get a status paper form his embassy. To do that, her future wife must get her birth certificate and her status papers which can be obtained from her hometown amphue. Some amphues also give the documents but some asks to go and get from her hometown. After she got them, you guys need to translate them into english and certified from the minister of foreign affairs. Then take them to your embassy. After you submit those papers of hers, you can ask for your status paper which says you are not married in your country or here in thailand or anywhere else and you can marry with her. Now with all these documents again you need to translate them into thai and certified from the minister of foreign affairs. Now you can take these papers and go to any amphue you want and get marry. It will take probably 15min.

The steps i told you are for almost all countries dont know if your friend embassy want or not. probably want.

  5. i know one agent in pattaya can do the trick, she will send your passport out of thailand and get back in here. Dont know how it works or whats the magic but she did 1 of my filipino friend. he was here 3 years over stay.

again i cannot remember but i believe it cost him around 45K

But, i would listen to @DrJack54 & @ubonjoe & others and do it by myself. cheaper, less riskier and also might be a fun trip. Its really easy to do visa run or to get a new visa from countries around thailand. If you can wait till july it seems everything will be as before covid.

I just don't understand why people do things like this.

It's just simple common sense to keep a copy. Even if you don't want to keep paper copies of documents (not a good policy) then tak a smartphone photo of the document before you hand the original to anybody. And e.mail the photo to yourself. Very easy to do, takes maybe 20 seconds.

Many years ago I was working as an organizational consultant in a contracted project for a big Thai company, the company put an ad on fb for a qualified full-time English language teacher.

Several farang applied, one looked OK on his simple application statement, so the company owner asked me if I would do him a favor and interview the guy.

My assistant responed on fb asking him to come to the company office for an interview at either 10.00 am or 2.30 pm across 4 successive dates, and asking him to reply to niminate a convenient date.

He arrived at the company office at 08.30 am the next day. I was already at the company office as were most employees. He refused a request from the receptionist to wait at the lobby area and said loudly 'nobody tells me what to do', and he started to wander from office to office interupting meetings. And he eventually found me in a meeting with my own employees from outside of the company.

I asked him to please take a seat and I would talk to him in 2 or 3 minutes. Again he refused, again he said loudly 'nobody tells mw what to do'. Then he ordered a passing company senior staff member (about 55 years old, dressed in a suit) to get him coffee with 2 shots.

A maid came 5 minutes later with a coffee and he complained 'where's the 2 shots'.

I asked him several basic questions but no clear answers. I asked him to let me see my passport, he refused with 'I don't show my passport to anybody'. I asked him what visa he was on, he refused to comment 'not your business'. I asked him what qualifications he had 'not your business'. Then he revealed that he was wanted by Thai Immigration police for overstay.

I told a snr company officer to call the immigration police and tell them we had a farang in the office who says he's on overstay. Imm. police arrived quickly and had with them his photo, copy of phis passport and a Imm. order specific to his overstay.

He then produced 2 documents he had downloaded and printed from sites operated by farang lawyers operating in Thailand. Both were the front pages of websites basically saying these law 'companies' could help solve anything. He claimed these documents prived he had not broken any Thai immigration laws/regulations.

The Imm. police took him away after he gave them quite some abuse. We heard later that he was deported late the net day.

Why do people take attitudes like this and get themselves into a tangled web which is going to bring trouble/serious trouble.

After another 10 minutes I decto wait just

serious question, is this story real? its unbelievable unbelievable.

This is exactly what’s on my mind, and I decided to call him yesterday to check if I have to exit Thailand in 24h. He said no.

is your marriage legit? i mean you said you called your husband.. you married with him because of visa? or you just live in different cities. Because if it comes there, court will find out the truth. that will put your situation in more serious situation and also him too. can you both prove that your marriage is based on real love..

i mentioned this because i know some people married with ladies from laos jsut to keep them in thailand.

  9. its obvious your lawyer did a mistake somewhere or lied to you about he closed the situation. Its surprising nothing happened to you till this time. its also another thing how you caught when selling noodles.. Most likely someone reported you and still following up the case. OR another high chance is they found you when you are doing the new work permit which means they listed you about this and again which means its not good. I believe this is also something where you are from. Obviously not from the UK or the USA. Might be from some ASEAN countries? I believe you will get some punishment for sure. I would say you will pay some money. If you have work permit with your new work, i dont think it will affect anything because you are doing it legally. I also feel its good for you taht you got your non-b for the work permit but not your non-o. tbh honest it seems your marriage might be just for the visa. thats what they might think

i would find a really good lawyer some serious one familiar with these things.. i dont know if i can suggest or not in this forum but there are 2 or 3 good ones about this and you can find them using google

also... another thing... tbh many farangs here do a lot of things to get a legit non-b and extend it. sometimes it can be really hard.. or can be really time wasting.. or other things.. but it can be really full of problems to get a legit non-b.. mostly its not that difficult. so, i feel you deserved some punishment just tried avoiding these problems and think you can beat the system. with all respect i dont think its fair for the people who tries hard to get a legit non-b and extend it. dont want to start an argument, but i truly believe its the truth.

    anyway. good luck

  10. they may ask a new passport. As stated in previous post they might find it not enough (actually its ok and normal). This is something you need to talk with the immigration.

what my friend did was, he applied for a new passport asked a letter from the embassy to prove it and showed it to immigration and they were ok after few discussion about the situation. Although it took probably 10 days for the new passport. He went next year for the next extension and immigration was totally ok

You can ask your embassy here how long it takes to get a new passport and organize yourself.

PS: i have non-b and never got a under consideration stamp. Its always like extension or need to do more paper work and come back. I think consideration is for non-o types

  11. Is there any original of your wife signature on any documents you are taking to the embassy? Check really good. If there is one forget abiut my suggestion.. but if you are really sure that there is no signature of your wife on any paper.... then just sign them. Practice a signature. As probably you know thais dont have complicated signatures. Just create a simple one ????

i did like this fee years ago for khon kaen immigration. My boss forgot to sign 1 paper and  immigration didnt accept it. It was my last day, when i went back to office he was not there and no where to be found. So i put the paper he signed on a window (sun wqs behind the window) then put the paper he forgot to sign, well i just copy the sign. It was not good of course but not bad too. Immigration didnt even check anything, got the visa.. you can try this too if your wifes signature is on any paper too. Just print some and try to copy over your wifes s8gnature. Take the best one with you.

or ask your wife to send her signature to you via email. Copy from there.

prepare a reason for you too if they ask whats wrong with the signature. You can tell she signed them on the bus, car, etc. She forgot to signed 1 and she signed in a hurry in tuk tuk.. etc. Something like that

ps: im pretty sure they will not accept black link or printed out copy signatures. You need a wet signature with blue link. For them black link means copy.

ps 2: i think kor2 document (the one showes you guys are married) have her and your signature. You can also copy from there

    Good luck

Thanks for your reply. I thought as much. Mad how they send you in circles and you ask 4 people and get 4 different answers. Tires me out.

Do you know if this legalising your degree certificate nonsense is true also?

Thats depend on your nationality i believe. So far my 17 years in thailand and working, i never did that. I have farang co-workers in my office they didnt do either. But we had 1 guy from cameroon i know he had to get police clearence from thai police station. I give all the documents i wrote in my previous post to my office and they do the thing.

I also heard legalising degrees. And i know it takes time. I heard like 1 month.

Again like i said i never did it and i have work permit.

If you want to play safe, i believe you are still in your country. Just go to your university and do it. Nothing to lose. But dont forget you need to prove it here at ministery of foreign affairs.

Maybe someone else can give you a better answer about that. But again i never did it and labor office didnt say anything about it so far.

    Good luck

Just remembered, i always add my copy of degree transkated into thai by khon kaen university. I have no idea it does any good or not. But i always add it. It has some nice stamp from the university on it too.

Another thing, just talked with my friend who extended her visa a month ago. She told me chang wattana only asked her (she has non-b) letter from the work, house rent contract. Thats it

  13. Me and my friend entered 2 weeks ago... no face sensor or whatever.

they just check your vaccination status and give you some sticker to put on your shirt. Green for no quarantine and red for quarantine. Then you continue walking and then immigration check your thai pass QR... thats all

if you will stay at quarantine hotel the drivers are waiting before all the process so they can lead you

no sensor at all. I think they mean temperature scanners. which i didnt even see 1

but if you think you are covid, better not to come. Get well and come is better. dont risk other people

  14. yes you can get a work permit and can work with non-o marriage visa. Thats what i was on. and actually its easier than non-b

just give your working place your copy of marriage certificate / copy wife ID/ copy of wife house book (blue book) / copy of Kor2 (thats the paper she can get from the place she is registered, it shows her status), copy of your degrees. copy of your passport. thats it ohh and i think 1 big photo for the first time if you are getting your work permit. Also need a health certificate for the labor office which you can get from a local clinic around 100-200 baht. Dont forget to add that blood test too which is around 150 baht. dont listen people telling you that you need to go to a hospital. Any REGISTERED clinic will do it very cheaper than hospitals. When you get it check the blue clinic stamp. dont forget to sign all copies (only the copies of YOUR details). Your wife will sign her Id and house book also.

    good luck

  15. Hi,

So got a 3 month Non-B visa based on work. Need to extend it at the immigration, no problem..

3 month Non-B visa will expire in august, contract till september (it will renew for another 2 years)

Is there anyway to avoid going to immigration 2 times and extend it 2 times?

Because if i go to immigration they will extend it till end of my contract which is in september, then after september i need to go again to extend it till my new contract time...

A way to avoid this is to talk with the work place and ask them help about this.

Is there any other way at the immigration or else?

    Thanks

If I'm reading it right, he isn't coming from a non-B.  He's going from a, presumably bonafide, ED visa, then onto agent quired Volunteer visa, then (possibly agent obtained) medical visas and covid extensions.

All seems quite unlikely with agent obtained extensions, but would love to hear an update if successful in Thailand or a neighbouring country.

you are right. i was trying to explain another thing but yes, it looks like  different. lol
